Stock is a New York City-based freelance writer/editor of articles and books. A 30-year veteran of THE NEW YORK TIMES, he was editor in charge of the Travel, Week in Review, and Sunday Business & Financial sections; wrote dozens of travel and magazine articles; wrote a column entitled "Senior Class" about aging. Since leaving The Times, he has been a GHOSTWRITER of MANAGEMENT BOOKS, first for the Boston-based WordWorks book packager, then as an independent. The authors included James Champy, Fred Wiersema, John Kao and Subir Chowdhury. He is a co-author of a textbook published in October 2014, PREVENTING HOSPITAL INFECTIONS. Stock has also written CORPORATE NEWSLETTERS for such clients as MetLife.His essays have been published on AOL.com and AARP.com, and he has continued occasional writing for The NYTimes and other publications, including a 2012 Times Magazine article about a PUBLIC HEALTH pioneer at Johns Hopkins, Susan Baker.
