This book had everything I like in it:- A good storyline- Good characters who can create an emotional bond with and that are relatable.- A thrilling page turning writing style.Everything was amazing for me for half of the book. I'd probably give this 2.5 stars, actually. I liked the book, but had some issues with the quickness that Rose got over her lengthy abusive past. It started with a lot of potential, but just got a bit ridiculous for me by the end.

Consider this my all-time favorite read by King and is the one I recommend most to others.
In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.

I listened to this as an audio book, and that's probably why I actually finished it. Good stuff up until Rose goes into the painting the first time (had I been reading this instead of listening, I probably would have put the book down here. And not because I don't like supernatural--I quite love fan...

The best thing about the book was perhaps the beginning. Inspite of being an author of the horror genre King brought out the brutality of domestic abuse so terrifyingly well. I remember beads of sweat collecting on my forehead while reading the opening.

Before I even start this review, I must mentioned that it will be very biased because I love this book. Rose Madder is a deeply touching story that mainly focuses around the struggles of Rose Daniels and her need to be free of her husband and his oppressing dominance in her life. Rose has been the v...
