Sanctum told the story of a girl that went to the darkest pits of hell to save her best friend that committed suicide. I think what I liked the most about this book was the world building. Wow. Okay. So. I ran the complete emotional spectrum on this one...up to and including a powerful, but brief, impulse to figuratively throw it across the room. I say figurative because its on my Kindle and, yeah, so not throwing it. What a wild ride. So worth it. The end wrecked me completely and ...

"In front of the Gates stood massive creatures, like men but not men." -Page 12Like men.....but not men. Oh boy, tell me more!"The door slid shut, and her presence was forgotten, like a raindrop hitting the surface of the ocean." -Page 19The simile itself is okay I suppose, not the greatest by any m...

I am totally not into this genre.... I LOVED this book.I think because it STRONGLY focused on romance. And there were about 4 "sexy" comments that I cringed at. But overall it was pure romance.
