Saucy Again is a companion volume to Saucy and All, that delightful book of children's verse, of which the Sunday Times (London, England) said, "The verses are sure to appeal to children and they are good enough to stand alone without being recommended for their likeness to those of A.A. Milne."
A copy of Saucy and All was accepted by the (then) Duchess of York, for little Princess Elizabeth, and the author received a letter from "145 Piccadilly" assuring her that "the book will give much pleasure."
Yes!  Here they are again -- Geraldine and Patricia and Saucy and the Ah-Yahs, with many of the toy animals that you met before!  Of course there are some new pets, and one of the nicest of these is Patrick Pig who doesn't mind a bit having a bed "too small" for him, but when they turned him
                                "... out of his bed
And put in two little birds instead ..."
he really felt quite upset about it!
You know, of course, that
"Saucy is only a grey flannel cat,
Excactly the size of a grandfather rat,"
but he feels terribly important, for it's not every grey flannel pussy that can boast of being admired by a Royal Princess!
And Gerry and Patsy take as much care of him as if he were royalty himself!
