I was in need of a light read, so I grabbed this from my kids' shelf. For middle grade readers, it may be a 4-star, for me a 3.This is the second book in Haddix's series that features endangered children from history who are kidnapped by time travelers in order to protect them from their fate. Being...

*Spoilers for Book One* I absolutely loved the first one, Found, of this series. This one, book two, however is just not my favorite. It delves more into science fiction and history whereas I wanted more character and thought. Picking up right where we leave off in book one, Jonah, Chip, and Cat...

Picking up right where the previous book left off, Sent kicks off the actual time traveling portion of the series by stranding viewpoint character Jonah and his friend, Chip, in the 15th century. See, Jonah and Chip (and about thirty other kids) aren't originally from the 21st century. Each of them ...

This was great fun. Two kids are sent into 1483 to be the princes in the tower, nephews of Richard the third. Their friends go along to help out. This is a very satisfying sequel. Now there's a good bit of history thrown in with the science fiction. It's not essential to have read the first book to enjoy this one, but readers will probably appreciate it more if they do read the first.

Good sequel. Some nice character development, esp. for Kate and her brother. Chip and Alex remain slightly underdeveloped. The historical aspect and the idea of all those missing/ mysteriously dying kids in history having actually been saved is an interesting idea, though the science aspect is laugh...
