RUBY HOLLER is a touching story of two orphaned twins, Dallas and Florida (named after the packing crate they were found in), who are abandoned at birth and brought up by two uncaring custodians of a group home for children. I loved how the different storylines were interwoven. With Salamanca's blooming fantasy you never knew what to expect next. The book made me both laugh out loud and cry, it was just the perfect mixture. Widely recommended!

Despite that, and with the help of the narrator, I'm confident that I'd have enjoyed rea...

I remember reading this in elementary school, and before I read the book, for some reason I thought Ruby Holler was a name XD
