I've heard from the beginning that this book was one that everyone needed to read. But for whatever reason it took me three years to get on the bandwagon. This genre really is a dime a dozen, nowadays and it's difficult to find reads that actually stand out among the numerous attempts at originalit...

This book was beautiful. The writing was absolutely stunning. I loved the way the author put us inside the hectic thoughts happening in the main character's head. The prison stuff was all so different and interesting. It drew me in from the start and I could barely put it down.

At first I didn't think that I would like this book. The purple prose was driving me nuts and I just didn't know about it. Then the story took over and the little things that were bothering me suddenly weren't so bothersome anymore. This story reminds me a little bit of Xmen. I feel like this c...

My Initial Reaction... I was blown away by the incredible writing in Shatter Me from the moment I started it. I think that, more than any other element, captivated me and held me to the very end. The Narration... The narration by Kate Simses was impeccable. She's a perfect fit for this style of writ...

I had heard so many things about this book, and about the series as a whole. SO MANY THINGS. I heard about Chapter 62, I had seen pitches for Warner, and pitches for Adam. Oh. My. Lord. Give me a minute here, will you? Thanks. *reflecting* Tahereh Mafi just became my newest favorite-est author ever. This series......well, this start to this series, is by far, the most epic, and one that is on my favorite forever list! In fact, I loved this book so much, that because I...

2.5 stars. There were things I liked about Shatter Me and other things I wasn't crazy about. The writing is first person that contains a whole lot of metaphor and simile. Sometimes that worked, and it really conveyed the feelings of the main character well, especially at the beginning when she feels...
