Like so much of the Rebirth series, this first volume is about cleaning up and getting ready for future stories. The good news is that they seem to be moving in the right direction. John's back in the UK, and he's a real jerk. Things are looking up.
So... the first issue didn't do it for me, but the rest totally do. Djinn, Swamp Thing, and a whole buttload of Constantine. This is one of those rare series where I hate the main character, and love everything going on around them, and again - totally okay with that. Enough interesting things...
And it's not purely that, but since I'm interested in Swamp Thing and the revelations of what's going on with Constantine himself, I'm more willing to put up with, say, how he abuses Chas' trust. I guess I'm just more interested in what goes on around Constantine than in Constantine himself, a...
