It was so engagingly written that it could have been non-fiction, but sources were all cited and deviations from accepted wisdom among Henry VIII scholars were mentioned. At times this was a biography that was so burdened down with details and extrapolations that I kept getting bogged down. Still -- don't let that stop you! Considering how much myth, mistruth, and outright fabrications there are about the Tudors these days, this is still one of the better biographies...
