Whoa. It's staggering the amount of stuff that Pratchett manages to cover. The main plot follows the Inquisition's evil mastermind Vorbis, who wants to inflict his religion on various other nearby countries. He is aided in his schemes by the young man Brutha who cannot read or write or sing, but has...
Oh, Terry Pratchett, you scoundrel. A terrific, tongue-in-cheek send-up of organized religion that manages to point out its foibles without being threatening in the least. Also, while I was reading, I kept wondering if my tortoise Denise was actually some sort of small god, and then I would look o...

Can you guess which this one is?One line, a few pages in, made me laugh louder then anything else has for a bit."Time is a drug. Too much of it kills you."What a brilliant line and I was hopin...
Only Terry Pratchett can make a mockery of religion in general, yet not be offensive about it. This book quite possibly rivals Night Watch as my favorite Discworld book. It was an awesome read, and practically read itself it did. Much recommended!
