I get that it was a 'short story', but it ended so abruptly. I didn't feel like it had any sort of resolution. It was plain, old smut. PWP.
I felt badly for Seraphina in this book. Jake was an ass. The way he treated her would have hurt anyone. Imagine, revealing your true self to someone only to have them reject by physically running away. Talk about traumatizing. This story was well done and I enjoyed it.
A short read with very little plot: estranged couple meet up again, talk a bit, and have sex, sex and sex. I liked the premise, but the writing was pedestrian.
