I put off reading this book because I wasn't sure that I really wanted to. I liked the somewhat ambiguous ending of the first book and wished there wasn't a sequel. But now I'm glad there was a sequel and I'm very glad I read it. This book alternates between following Addie and following Laila, wh...

I have to say I'm semi-disappointed with Split Second. Pivot Point, the first book in this series was a nearly flawless novel and one of my favourites of 2013. I was expecting a similar reaction to the sequel, but unfortunately it didn't quite get there. Now don't get me wrong, I still loved this bo...

Split Second is the sequel to Pivot Point which I reviewed here. It's actually better if you read that first. With the way things ended in the first book, it's not surprising that Addie wants a break from it all by spending time away from the Compound with her dad who has situated himself neatly in ...

Pivot Point was more of an emotional undertone and Split Second seems to be projecting more of an intriguing, suspenseful plot device. ...

This was a total Level Up from book one. West writes a great combination of the sweet, the funny, and the exciting. All made better with leads who are decidedly likeable. And it’s likeability that’s limited to Addie and Trevor either… because, biggest POSITIVE surprise here, Laila (who was so-so in ...

Excellent second book; I liked Split Second just as much as Pivot Point. I loved getting chapters from Laila's point of view and getting to know Connor, he was a great addition to the story. I still love Trevor and Addie too. And we get to see them get to know each other all over again.

A HUGE thank you to Steph from Cuddlebuggery for sharing her ARC with me! Split Second is the fast-paced, feel clutching, edge of your seat sequel to Pivot Point. It has an expertly crafted story, creative and interesting plot twists and well developed characters, all of whom made me literally lau...
