The Romeo Catchers (The Casquette Girls Series) - Alys Arden

<!-- x-tinymce/html -->

Reading an Alys Arden book is like taking a vacation. Her books make you feel like you're an actual part of the French Quarter. Completely immersive and her love of her city shines through each and every page. You end up feeling as if you are living and breathing the city right along with the characters. I absolutely adore that about these books!

I loved watching the Coven come together and getting to know some new characters as well as getting more background stories from characters we already know and love. Getting to know Niccolo better was quite endearing. I don't know what Arden is trying to do to my heart, but I don't think I could possibly be any more conflicted between Niccolo and Isaac at this point! Seeing Adele and Isaac's relationship flourish in this book was so sweet. I can plainly see that they are pretty darn wonderful together. But even with Niccolo being out of sight, he was never out of mind, and seeing him as this young determined dreamer with so many hopes of a bright future tugged at each one of my heartstrings. I don't even know what I want at this point! I am DYING to see what happens in the next book.

which one

I was really excited to see more of the witch magic throughout the story. It was a lot of fun watching Adele, Isaac and Dee building up their coven and finding their place. I am very eager to see this group grow and flourish! I am completely intrigued by their individual growing powers as well! That ending was OUT OF CONTROL. You could tell that it was building to something huge towards the end, and it did not disappoint. I have no idea what will happen next in this story, but I can't wait to find out!

Boys, Toys-Oh My!, A M Willard
Boys, Toys - Oh My! (Business of Sex Book 1) - A.M. Willard

I was given this book and volunteered to give my honest opinion. I gave it a 3.5*. I thought it was more about sex and sex toys than an actual story. and was too erotic for my tastes.Because of sexual content, it is not suitable for the under 18 readers.

Oh My Laird!: A Risqué Regency Romance - Sahara Kelly

Amelia has made a mess of her life and her family name. She loses her prized ruby necklace, and her brother banishes her to the north. Ian has been hired to find the person who stole the ruby. What he finds is a woman who is hidden behind a facade of nonchalance and brings the passionate, caring lady out. They make their way through danger, secrets, arrests because of love, family, and friendship. I enjoyed this story and I recommend it.

I received a copy of this book through Candid Book Reviews in exchange for an honest review.

Last Stand of Dead Men - Derek Landy

Wow. Reading through this book has put me in a state of shock, and I...can't believe that a lot of things which happened, just happened. After the previous book, which was absolutely amazing with Armageddion and Darquesse and Lord Vile fighting side by side against some super-powered enemies, I couldn't see how Derek Landy could possibly get much better than that. But now I can see that Kingdom of the Wicked was just a stepping stone to tell us about the Accelerator.

For the majority of this book I thought, it was just going to be about the Sanctuary war. This made the book was very good in my eyes but not as amazing as the previous titles. Then suddenly, out of nowhere...we get that plot twist. Yeah, YOU know the one I mean...

I mean, I was in tears when that happened. I couldn't believe it.
And btw, I was actually spoilered on that twist BEFORE it happened, years ago, because I was a dumbass who went on the wiki. I...just kinda blotted it out of my memory. It didn't make sense, you know? Why would he DO that?

But he did, and...yeah, I can't really talk about it anymore.

It doesn't stop there. Warlocks. Darquesse. China. I, I just can't express how awesome that part was...In the last half hour, I was really afraid for China. She gave it her all.

In summary, this book is at least as fantastic as Kingdom of the Wicked - and it really gets good in the last part of the book. People keep dying left right and centre, until I really began to fear that ANY of my favourite characters would be left alive at all!

Just one book left to go. One. Book. I'm scared of what will happen. I don't know how it's going to turn out, because I don't think anyone's really had the advantage over Darquesse before and even the Sceptre of the Ancients might not be enough? That's what I'm thinking really. Like, even when Lord Vile fought her they were pretty evenly matched but I always got the idea that Darquesse was a lot stronger.

And what she did to...you know. Near the end. It's a spoiler if I say it. That was just brutal. I don't know if he deserved that. Yes, he did terrible things which ripped them apart but if anything then death would be better than that.

I am going to be so sad when this all ends. Probably even pick up Demon Road after this.
