I shared Sweet Dreams for Teaser Tuesday and now I need a book for Saturday’s One Sentence Review. Seeing I loved Sweet Dreams by Aaron Patterson, it seems a perfect fit, I also must confess, the cover reached out…………

MY REVIEW

I wasn’t sure I was going to write a review about Sweet Dreams by Aaron Patterson until after I finished reading it, saw some of the mixed reviews and thought I needed to add my two cents by saying, “Hey man, it’s a fictional novel with lots of thrill, chills and surprises by some fiendish villains and loveable heroes that will keep you reading, and reading, and wanting more.”

Animated Animals. Pictures, Images and Photos 4 Stars

Awakening: Episode 1-4
The 'Naturals: Awakening [Episodes 1-4 -- Season 1] - Robin Parrish,Melody Carlson,Aaron M. Patterson,K.C. Neal

Season 1 of The 'Naturals.

Some kids find out they have super powers. I think.

It's really hard to say anything really about these first four episodes. It's so short. It's four different main characters, written by four different authors. Which means that every story that I read, all these individual episodes are nothing more than set-ups for what I expect is going to happen in the rest of the 'season'.

Thing is though, because it's so short (and it's already a collection of FOUR episodes) I couldn't really make my mind up about it. Do I like it? How can I tell, it's too short for me to base my opinion on any reason really. The fact that all the storylines are written by different authors makes that I can't really say anything about the writing either.

It was not a bad start, but to soon to say whether or not I would like it. I would not sell or buy these four episodes without the rest because this alone will not make you feel like you've read something.

Awakening is the first season of The 'Naturals. The second season, Evolution, has just started.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Not what I expected
Airel - Aaron Patterson,Chris White

The blurb for this intrigued me, yet I found myself disappointed at the end of this book. The book has two authors and their differing styles are apparent. The main female character was not very relatable, after making discoveries about her super healing etc. She went to a mall to shop. Not really the reaction I'd expect from someone making such life changing discoveries.
I also myself a little lost when about halfway through it changed to another story. I read the whole thing but it felt disjointed.
This of course is just my view. The writing is solid and descriptive but this wasn't for me, which is a pity as this is a genre I like usually

Sweet Dreams - Review
Sweet Dreams - Aaron Patterson

Color me unimpressed. This book didn't keep my interest much at all. I managed to finish it but let's just say that I didn't enjoy the journey.

The story follows two different men, one a business man and one a police officer. A bombing in a market & a massacre at a prison (that kills only prisoners) manage to bring the two together, in a way, eventually. Whatever. I have to admit that by the time the truth behind everything was revealed, I wasn't that concerned with the truth.

I will admit, there was one point when I honestly went WTF?? It was completely out of the blue and totally different from everything the book seemed to be. But, I was already bored.

Hmmmm... I don't really recommend this, but if you like crime stories with mysteries, give it a try.

Reading progress update: I've read 49%.
Sweet Dreams - Aaron Patterson

Is it bad that I don't really care who is responsible for the market bombing or for the deaths of all those prisoners? I just can't get into this one. I'm not ready to give up yet though.
