Book Review for Dirty Rocker by S. C. Daiko
Dirty Rocker by S.C. Daiko - S.C. Daiko

Another enjoyable read from this author. We really enjoyed the characters and the story itself as it was fun and flirty and it also had a serious theme to it with issues such as struggling with guilt and battling alcohol & substance abuse.

We loved Hayley from the moment we met her she was kind and funny and independent and she was the type of person that everyone just loves she also is dealing with some personal issues of her own that have her shying away from any kind of a personal relationship until that dirty rocker bad boy Pierce Fox has her wishing things were different.

We loved that cocky bad boy rocker Pierce Fox to even though he initially was a bit of a douche he redeemed himself and then some throughout the book. We loved the fact that although Pierce's past was a troubling one he never made excuses for the choices he made and the things he had done in the past he just owned up to them and moved forward creating a better life for himself. We loved how talented he was and through his process of recovery, he was discovering he had some hidden talents as well.

We loved Pierce and Hayley as a couple they had tons of chemistry and they had developed an amazing friendship before becoming lovers which really was quite endearing. As the story unfolds both slowly start to heal and as they start dealing with the secrets of their past things really started heating up and even discovered things that would yet again change their lives once again.

Overall we really loved the story which surprised me as I am not much of a Rock Star romance kind of girl I ended up loving it. The story was heartfelt and emotional and had you laughing out loud at times and smirking at others. This was a really sweet romance full of lots of messy bits some good and others not so good but, through all the trials two people found their soul mate and they're happily ever after.

Book Review for Ruthless Sentinel (Vicious Vipers MC Book 2) Kindle Edition by Lynn Burke
Ruthless Sentinel (Vicious Vipers MC Book 2) Kindle Edition - Lynn Burke

We really enjoyed this story as it had really great characters that were fun and flirty and they made you laugh.

The more we read this series the more and more we fall in love with it's characters.Stone was one of those characters that you loved from the onset of the story although serious he was funny, sexy as sin, handsome, rugged and one of those who does not shy away from feigning interest in a women who he is lusting after and yet, has no business wanting but, can't help obsessing over a women he cannot have.I loved him as I thought he was frig-gen hilarious as he was fighting his feelings and sexual desires!
"It made for a whole lot of laughs!"
"He reminded me like a fish on a hook!"
lol

Giada was our favorite character as she was witty and defiant ,one who chose her own path, had a huge heart ,suffered bullying and abuse and betrayals and was full of sadness and had a sh** family other than her siblings yet, she still carved out a successful life and remained sane through it all but, did not become a bitter person in the process. Giada was beautiful and kind and caring and was beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.

Overall the story was a really good one that was full of action and suspense, pretty much from the onset of the story and kept you glued to the pages to the very end.The story also had great characters that were engaging and funny and interesting and we are loving getting to know these new character's and we are looking forward to reading the other members stories. The story took a bit of a twist and one that we did not see coming and we like when that happens and we also loved that fact that opposites attract and these two had amazing chemistry and yet, end up perfect for one another.
This was one hot sexy read!

Darling Rose Gold Review
Darling Rose Gold - Stephanie Wrobel

This book was such a disappointment .Was really looking forward to it since there are not alot of fiction books about munchausen by proxy, though maybe there are more and just not heard of them.I signed up for that aspect of it because even though it is something horrible that happens it is still in a strange way interesting to dig deeper into and read about. The first issue is that everyone ,and I mean everyone ,in this book is beyond unlikeable . For the most part I do not have a big issue with that.In fact there are quite a few books that I like or love that have horrible or just characters that are meant to be unlikeable. The difference in those cases is that those characters are written super well, which in this book they are unlikeable and not written well. I am all for making characters flawed but most of the characters here are just super terrible people with little to no redeeming qualities or shades of grey to their personality. I can give the book making her mother an awful person considering what the book is meant to be about but then it is oh no her mom is awful and her dad she has just meant again is secretly awful even though he started off wanting to get to know her and this is before Rose Gold gets all super damn creepy. I can sort of get not being ready to fully bring her into the family or want her on the family trip but just he seems to put up a wall to wanting to get to know her soon after finding her and just in the context of the book it is ummm then what was the damn point in going up to talk to her or seeking her out? Also for good measure her friend(s)are assholes too. Course that is not enough and her boss is awful as well because why the fuck not. Will get back to Rose Gold but yeah for the time being yeah she is awful too.

Second the book take a strange turn some what through where it becomes less focused on the issue of munchausen by proxy, and more a revenge plot. Again , if it was written well could be interesting but just it comes out of no where here and just for the character makes no damn sense in my opinion. This is when I get back to Rose Gold . Again I don't have an issue with the author wanting to make the story into a revenge plot. In many , many respects Rose Gold has a million reasons to want to get back at her mother. The issue is she goes way too far. Mostly for the fact that she stole a freaking baby, passed it on as her own and then framed her mother for doing the same crap again The main thing I feel with revenge plots in books and movies is that you root for the person getting the revenge . Maybe they are not always just . They do not have to be but for the most part feel the plot and character makes you feel they are right in their actions. Here though I can just not explain away or root for her when she stole a freaking child, explained it to be her own . Just it colors how I see her as a character. I don't cheer on her revenge plot no matter what she has been through and no longer feel at sorry for her. That just hate the narrative of those that have dealt with abuse in some way will either do the same as their abusers or worse.

In short, just was overly disappointed in this. The characters were overly poorly written, over unlikeable to the point I stopped enjoying reading about them . They did things that really did not make sense even in the context of the story. Will see if there are others books about similar issues.

Book Review for Red by London Miller The Den Series
Red. - London Miller

The story has amazing characters as they were all so love-able and intriguing and the plot was filled with tons of drama, romance and suspense. One thing we love about a story like this is all its moving parts and all the complications that arise from Mafia Crime Families warring between the families fighting for power right down to the assassins needing to do their jobs all among the craziness.

Regan and Red had amazing chemistry and we loved seeing a glimpse of what was below the surface of Red's armor when he sparingly chose to let us see it.We loved that Red was a completely different person around Regan and she him.

Regan we found her to be a care taker, one who puts family first, one who puts her own dreams on hold all because circumstances change, she was smart and clever, sexy and one who cares and forgives because she has such a big and generous heart.

I love Red and all his broken-ness not that we love anything that he has endured but, even though on the surface he seems unfeeling, distant, hard, scary he is capable of love and feelings because you just have to see him with his brother's son Sasha to see that there is hope that one day he will let go of the pain, bitterness, resentment and finally be free of his demons and fully open his heart up and allow himself to be happy once again and to be loved. My heart broke for this character for all that he endure at the hands of others. We also have to say that we first met Red/aka Nicklaus in Mischa & Laurens story and having done so we loved him even more this time around because we got to know what he was truly capable of and even though he will never forget what happened to him and those that played a part he was still able to carve out some sort of friendship/forgiveness with Luca and Mischa.

Luca is still one bad*as and we just loved him in this story and of course we loved seeing Mishca and Lauren once again as they are one of our favorite couples.

This was an awesome story for us and we can't wait to read the rest of the series. This author is still fairly new to us and we have to say we are so loving all her works.

Book Review for Beyond His Control by Clarissa Wild
Beyond His Control by Clarissa Wild - Clarissa Wild

Terrifying and Dark and Intense Read

Wow ! What a conclusion this was to this terrifying and ugly tale and another read that kept your heart pounding and had you on the seat of your pants the entire time never knowing what would happen next.

I honestly loved Natalie as she was fierce and protective and determined and one not taking her captivity lying down. She was strong and beautiful and smart and always watching and listening and calculating. From the moment we met her we new she was destined to be a force to be reckoned with.

Noah although a Patriarch you new he was different from the rest of them in the sense that he loved his community and its people but, not the way the system worked and the unfairness of it all and the brutality of it and that is why he always desired change and new he needed a queen to make that happen.

This story is emotional and it has a lot of moving parts and as the story unfolds those secrets started coming to life.I have to say we never saw things playing out they way the did and we just loved that. The chemistry between Natalie and Noah just burned hotter. We loved them as a couple. These two burned brightly!

Overall a terrifying tale that makes you heart sick and sad but, one so intriguing it kept you glued to the pages the entire time.Book one left us with one heck of a cliffhanger and I am so glad that I was able to start book two right after putting part one down as I dove right in with eagerness and new that this was yet another tale that I would not be putting down until its very conclusion.

Overall this was another amazing read and the story well written and sometimes reading something out of your comfort zone is just what you need to shake things up a bit and this story did just that. One thing about this story is that it all felt so real and that you were with its characters in that very place and time along with the good guys and the villains as well.Noah and Natalie took us for one heck of a ride that is for sure but, we loved getting to know them both so different but, yet the same in so many ways.Noah and Natalie will be a couple not easily forgotten.
