BEASTS OF NO NATION is, sadly, still timely
Beasts of No Nation: A Novel (P.S.) - Uzodinma Iweala

I gave my review a serious titivation and posted it to my blog...but if you've never read this book, go straight to the bookstore and buy it.

Stories like this are too true to tell in non-fiction. Stories like this are too hard to read when they're merely factual. But don't kid yourself, this is a reality and we here in the fat and happy West don't give it any thought.

Change that. Buy the book. Read the book.

Reading progress update: I've read 168 out of 557 pages.
Dolina Marzeń - Jann Turner

So far the book is much BETTER than the cover & description suggested. I like the social & political issues. I don't really know why the publisher is TRYING SO HARD to sell it as a cheap romance in African setting. The description on the back cover LIES about the plot.

Once again, like in the "Things Fall Apart" I think that the Europeans were really fucked up with their attitude. Loosers. ><

From time to time I'm getting lost in the plot and unsure of what really happens. Do I read that sloppily? :/

African Religions & Philosophy (African Writers)
African Religions & Philosophy (African Writers) - John S. Mbiti The classic on the topic, written by an African. Very in depth and informative and insightful. Covers a lot of ground and compares the commonalities, while also noting differences.
