Reading progress: 50%.
Wings of Fire - Alma Alexander

This is still giving off a very gothic air.

I know, the heroine is currently in New Zealand and a huge wealth of folklore, faiths, and myths are being mixed in with supernaturals from Celtic, Maori and even Russian lore.

But, it's quite gothic in tone.  Maybe because the "damsel in distress" runs right into probably the wrong place and person.

Hmmmm...gothic and supernaturals ... should have saved for a Halloween BINGO 2017 square.

(Just kidding, I like reading anything I win and quickly reviewing; I very seldom enter to win anything.)

I'm enjoying it.  But, I wasn't sure (still am not) exactly what I was getting into.  I like other books by the author so entered/won a Librarything giveaway of this one.

Just starting my LibraryThing win ..
Wings of Fire - Alma Alexander

Actually, if I had checked my email sooner, I would have started sooner.

Publisher Book View Cafe is very quick to send their giveaway books.

I've liked other Alma Alexander books (the reason I entered the giveaway), so looking forward to the read.  Not sure from synopsis exactly what I'm getting into.

I won ! I won! I won!
Wings of Fire - Alma Alexander

I enter very few of the giveaways -- usually just for authors I like and books I would have bought anyway (like this one) -- but I won this over on LibraryThing.  Book View Cafe usually sends the ebook very quickly.

Wolf (The Were Chronicles)
Wolf (The Were Chronicles) - Alma Alexander They saved the day with SCIENCE! I can't speak to how accurate the science was as I tended to read those sections with "science babble, science babble, science babble" running through my head. But SCIENCE! I am very much looking forward to the next one.
