Kill Creek - Scott Thomas,Bernard
Kill Creek - Scott Thomas,Bernard Setaro Clark

Sometimes an author creates awful characters and clearly relishes that. Highsmith did that. Most crime novelists do I suppose, either as victim or criminal. Harris' Hannibal Lector is another. What's noir but sexy awful people doing one another in?

These main characters are not awful But it feels as if Thomas is filled with contempt for them. There's fat shaming and slut shaming and flyover shaming: what possible horrors can the house hold compared to these?

Kill Creek - 19%
Kill Creek - Scott Thomas,Bernard Setaro Clark

Well, this is interesting so far. It's a new take on the old "manipulative weirdo invites 5 random people to spend the night in a haunted house" story. Except it's 4 people who are all writers of horror fiction and the manipulative weirdo's assistant. The characters are interesting, too. They seem like caricatures - they are each a Type, but somehow the author has written them so they are a little more than that.

Halloween Bingo Update-last book to read
Red Dragon - Thomas Harris

Reading my last book for our Halloween Bingo , and it's the first time I'm read Red Dragon , I actually owned as a physical book but it got lost and I never got to read it, it's funny you would think that I would have read this series which how much I love to watch and re watch The Slicence Of The Lambs. In fact as soon as I saw Google play books had Red Dragon on sell I grabbed it up and that was like 2 years and still haven't read ,but thanks to our Halloween Bingo and the box Slasher Stories I knew it was the perfect time to finally read it,.And it's the perfect day to read it as well since its cold ,and wet and feels like a good day for a thriller .

The Many Faces of Doctor Strange
Marvel Platinum: The Definitive Doctor Strange - Gene Colan,Roy Thomas,Brian K. Vaughan,Frank Brunner,Stan Lee,Steve Ditko,Marv Wolfman,Roger Stern,Marcos Martin,Marshall Rogers,Neil Vokes,Len Kaminski,Steve Engelhart,Geoff Isherwood,Roger Stern

This covers Doctor Strange from his inception to much more recent adventures with a variety of art styles and enemies.

Interesting collection, Lots of potential that hte film really did do well with.

It falls into (in my opinion)  Doomsday; Spellbound, Gothic, Ghost Stories, Genre: Horror; Supernatural; and Relics.  However I've used all those, I'm putting it into the Raven Square.
