Release Blitz w/Review - The Friar

Adam Westfield gave his heart, mind, body, and soul over to God and entered the Franciscan Brotherhood, but a moment of rage had him breaking his vows and one of the ten commandments. Five years later, he’s released from prison a changed man once again. Unsure of his destiny now, he hits the road, roaming the United States, hoping to find a purpose in life again . . . and forgiveness.

A widowed mother of two, Sage Hammond is doing everything she can to hold onto the horse-breeding ranch that had belonged to her husband’s family for generations, but times are tough and she’s just barely getting by. Unable to find a ranch hand willing to work for meager wages, she thinks all may be lost and she will have to sell. Until a quiet, handsome stranger appears to be an answer to her prayers.

Adam is falling in love for the first time in his life, however, strange things begin to happen at the ranch—things that are putting Sage and her children in danger—and he finds he is willing to sell his soul to protect them. But will it be enough?

A man trying to overcome his past. A woman trying to secure her children’s future. Can they both learn to live in the present and discover that second chances do exist?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Adam is starting over and trying to figure out what that mean for him. He has had a rough past with a lot of pain. He only knows he has to keep going to find where he belongs.

Sage has had a painful past as well. She has to raise her kids without their dad. She has to save her farm. She also has to figure out why she is so attracted to a stranger.

This book was full of surprises. There was honestly something inside for everyone between the pages. I had said earlier that it had "heart, reverence, joy, respect, friendship, family, and sexy!" Imagine all that with suspense thrown in. Yes, I know, really makes it a must read.

Release Blitz w/Review - Fighting For Redemption
Title: Fighting for Redemption

Author: USA Today Bestselling Author, Nicole Flockton
Genre: Adult, Sports Romance
Published: May 23, 2017
From USA Today Bestselling Author, Nicole Flockton, the final book in The Elite Series.

Bad Boy Brett Hunter is on a downward spiral after a poor performance at the Rio Olympic Games. His sponsors are threatening to drop him and trouble seems to find him wherever he goes. He’s comfortable with his bad boy image, it’s what he deserves after what he’s done. The last thing he wants to do is change the public’s perception of him, but his agent tells him, change his image or lose his sponsors.

Cassandra Fielder doesn’t like working with diva athletes – she’s been there, done that and has the divorce decree to go with it. When she finds out her new client is Olympian Brett Hunter, for the first time in her career she wants to tell her boss no, unfortunately, saying no isn’t an option. What she isn’t prepared for is the unexpected attraction flaring between them. She has no plans to play on that particular field again. As she spends time with Brett, she begins to see there is more to him than what he shows the public. But why is he trying so hard to hang on to his bad boy image?

Being with Cassandra has Brett facing old foes and a past he is desperately trying to forget. When the truth comes out, a fledging love is put to the test. Can it survive or has trust been irrevocably shattered?

Fighting for Redemption (The Elite, #4)Fighting for Redemption by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #4, in The Elite series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding and enjoyment, I always recommend reading series books in order.

Cassandra get told by her boss he is doing a favor for a friend, and she is recruited as the agent who will handle his client. When she meets Brett, she realizes there is an attraction there. Because of her past, she is wary about getting involved with another athlete.

Brett cannot believe the situation he has put himself in. He knows he can do better. Everyone is treating him like a child. Except Cassandra, she sends enough heat his way to make an oven. Can they build a future in the middle of cleaning up a mess?

The characters are just incredible to read. The sizzle and heat between them just leaps off the page. This series just gets better.

USA Today Bestselling Author, Nicole Flockton writes sexy contemporary romances, seducing you one kiss at a time as you turn the pages. Nicole likes nothing better than taking characters and creating unique situations where they fight to find their true love.

On her first school report her teacher noted "Nicole likes to tell her own stories". It wasn’t until after the birth of her first child and after having fun on a romance community forum that she finally decided to take the plunge and write a book.

Apart from writing Nicole is busy looking after her very own hero – her wonderfully supportive husband, and two fabulous kids. She also enjoys watching sports and, of course, reading.

Going in Deep (Billionaire Bad Boys, #4)Going in Deep by Carly Phillips
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is book #4, in the Billionaire Bad Boys series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading series books in order.

Julian is recovering from hitting the absolute bottom. He takes the steps to getting better seriously now. He is trying to make amends where he can.

Kendall has her own issues. While health is important, the heart wants what it wants. Can she go back to loving the man who makes her heart melt? Or was the past too much for the new her to handle?

These characters are obviously meant to be together. What is even better, they both have taken the time to get their own personal selves better. I think this story shows how important it is to take care of your own business before worrying about someone else. Then you are free to love as you like.

He's an expert at breaking the rules…

BETTING THE BAD BOY
Behind the Bar #3
Stefanie London
Releasing May 8th, 2017
Entangled Lovestruck

Self-confessed perfectionist Paige Thomas isn’t used to failing. But when a critical error in romantic judgment sends all her big city career dreams crashing down, she scrambles to find a job—any job—to make ends meet.

Noah Reid may as well have “trust issues” tattooed on his forehead. Being raised in the foster system didn’t give him a positive outlook on relationships, but now he’s looking after his best friend’s bar for one month, and he can’t do it alone.

Things get steamy when Noah hires Paige, but she’s determined not to repeat her mistakes and she bets Noah that she can keep her hands to herself while they’re working together. Too bad for her, Noah is an expert at breaking the rules…

She held the blindfold while trying to ignore the flutter of excitement in her stomach. Her fingers toyed with the elasticated band meant to hold the mask in place.

Both partners are going to get a turn at being blindfolded,” Libby said from the front of the room. “Between yourselves, pick who’s going to go first.”

Noah looked down at her, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He ran a hand along his jaw, catching the reddish-gold bristles of his burgeoning beard. For a moment, Paige was totally captured with the idea of how the bristles might feel on her skin. Would they be smooth or rough? Would she shriek if he brushed them along her inner thigh?

What do you say, new girl?” He cocked his head. “Would you rather do the blindfolding or be blindfolded?”

At that point she would have been happy to go all in— blindfolded, tied up, and held down.

Holy crap, would you listen to yourself? This is a work function, not a goddamn re-creation of

Fifty Shades.

Blindfolded,” she squeaked, thrusting the mask into his hands and spinning so quickly that she almost lost her footing.

You know, I’ve never done this before.” His hand steadied her, the reassuring warmth of his touch seeping into her skin. Her bones felt like jelly.

Blindfolded someone?” she asked, cringing at how shaky her voice sounded.

Ah, no. I meant the taste test.” He chuckled as he slipped the mask over her eyes.

Heat rushed up to Paige’s cheeks. Of course he meant the taste test. What an idiot she was. Just because her brain was earning an R-rating tonight didn’t mean his was, too. She fought back a tremor as he brushed some loose hairs from her neck so he could adjust the strap on the mask.

Everything went dark, and Paige gripped the edge of the table for support.

Warm breath whispered over her ear, and she could tell he’d leaned in a little closer. The scent of coffee and faded cologne tempted her to turn her head toward the source.

I’ve definitely blindfolded someone before, but it wasn’t for a taste test.”Her breath hitched, and she was grateful that she’d had the presence of mind to hold on to something.

Oh.”

He chuckled. “Yeah, that’s what she said.”

Holy. Freaking. Shit.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is book #3 in the Behind The Bar series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order.

Paige has no luck getting a job in the field of her own choosing. The problem with her previous employer probably not helping. Now she just needs a job anywhere or she will have to go home.

Noah has no idea she is not the candidate he was going to interview for the position. After the whole mess, he just is glad he has someone competent to the job. Now if he can just stop wanting her for himself....

I found this to be a fun and sexy read. I liked the banter between the characters. I think this series is fun and I hope there are more stories to come.
