My two latest buys, do you know how excited I am to finally have my hands on Origins!! I bought it for my dad in hardback for Christmas and was very tempted to keep hold till I had read it first, but I was a good daughter. Plus Waterstones had it half price!!

So I've never read any of Cassandra Clares books.....honestly I don't know why, they've neem on my TBR list since the list began. I am kinda glad I waited thought seeing as I stumbled across this gorgeous cover set.

Review: THE SILENT SONGBIRD
The Silent Songbird - Melanie Dickerson

The Silent Songbird is a story about a heroine that wants to something all people want. It takes place in either 1700 or 1800 England. It mostly about the King’s warden. Will she find what wants in life? She knows her duty, but she does not want to marry someone she does not love.

Evangeline knows her cousin goes to set up a marriage to an Earl? She tries to tell her cousin she doesn't want to marry this man. She is forced to run away. This is where all twists and turns and surprises start to occur. She meets a man and asks to go along with him and his men. She also has her friend with her as well. I believe this is where she starts to learn about herself and learns about the world around her.

The author does a good job showing us what it likes for women in that era. We learn of what Lord Shivery is like and how he is. You will be surprised at how and what this man did to his first wife. The author does wonders with her characters. You can see how deep she makes them. You are pulled into the era of that time and you feel like you are a part of that world.

BBH: Fictional Towns You’d Love To Live In

The Book Blogger Hop hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week they have a new book related question you can answer. If you are interested in finding out more, the next weeks question, and/or participating then stop by the Book Blogger Hop page.

April 13th – 19th: Is there a fictitious town in a book that you would love to live in? What makes it appealing? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

Strawberry Valley, Oklahoma featured in the Original Heartbreakers series by Gena Showalter. I feel in love with Strawberry Valley the moment of it’s introduction. I really like the small town feel of Strawberry Valley and the festivals they do. It all reminds me of my small town growing up, but also the peace, the relaxing feeling you get living with natural around you.

Koa Point, Hawaii featured in Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart by Anna Lowe. Who doesn’t like a tropical island to live on? To have your own private beach to relax on with a sexy shifter at your side. Ya, that would be nice. I like the slow pace of life, not the hustle and bustle.

Nocturne Falls featured in Nocturne Falls series by Kristen Painter. Who wouldn’t love to live in a paranormal town where they celebrate Halloween 365 days a year? I love paranormal creatures, so this would be a fun town for me plus you could dress up as anything and no one would find it not normal.

I’d love to here from you. What Fictional Towns Would You Love To Live In and Why?

I was born and raised in Northern Indiana. I’m an outdoor sun loving reader living near San Fransisco. I’m a mother, wife, dog owner, animal, and book lover. I’m the owner, reviewer, and mind behind Angel’s Guilty Pleasures. My favorite animals are horses & dogs. As for reading I love all things paranormal & urban fantasy. My favorite shifters are dragons!

Stunning Inspiration!
Judah's Wife - Angela Elwell Hunt

Oh my goodness. This book, y’all. THIS. BOOK. Angela Hunt is an amazing author. Her style is so incredibly unique. I was blessed to have EGYPT’S SISTER and now I’ve been doubly blessed to get to read another incredibly moving, mind altering novel by the uberly talented Ms. Hunt.

In this incredible novel, we get to see Judah and Leah. I had a deep sadness for all Leah went through. As someone who has dealt with an abusive man before, I felt all her trust issues, I felt all her pain and suffering. I can’t imagine what it was like during that time period to be abused by your father and not be able to trust.

And Judah….oh, how I loved his flaw filled self. He was not someone I would have normally enjoyed seeing in a book, but as I read the story, I fell in love with him hard. He was such a wonderful person for the story. Seeing him with Leah, well I cheered them on throughout the book.

Ms. Hunt has, once again, hit the Biblical fiction nail on the head. This book will shake you to the core, and leave you with all the feels that a book can leave you with. The inspirational messages from the Lord are perfectly pieced together within the pages of this book. If I could give this book 5 million stars I would. Go grab it now! You won’t be sorry!

*I received a complimentary copy of this book from Publisher and was under no obligation to post a review, positive or negative.*
