Can’t say that I enjoyed this story, actually there was not much story, it is pretty much all steam. I do enjoy steam, but when I read, I like story too. I found this a sad representation of literature.
This is my first experience with reading a Chelle Bliss story. I enjoyed the read. ALOT of steam, but the story is there and the interaction of characters is the best of this story line. The steam was over done as was the “good girl” drama (just my opinion), however, the romance and humor helps bring this up to enjoyment level.
Mend by Chelle Bliss is the story of Evie Harper and Jack Nelson.
Evie and Jack met in high school and fell in love. But before she was 18 years old her father and her moved to Germany. Evie told Jack she would be back in a years time to be with him and he promised to wait for her. But now some years later Evie and her best friend Evan are back in town where she happens to see Jack again. Both thinking that the other lied and broke their promise to be together causes them to act upset with each other at first. But their true feeling of love that never ended keep coming out.
This was are really great second chance at love story that I did not want to put down! Loved it and hope to read more soon from this author!
Merger by Chelle Bliss is Book Two in the "Takeover Duet" series. This continues the story of Lauren Bradley and Antonio Forte. For this book you do have to have read the previous book ' Acquisition' first to completely understand their story....this one picks up where they left off at.
With the Merger of their business side going through now we deal more it seem with the personal side. We start meeting more family members now that are building toward a more personal relationship but still dealing with some issues.
Overall I have really enjoyed their story. This book does bring a few more emotional turns that had me bring out some tissues but so worth it in the end.
