Something to Howl About - Christine Warren

A super quick story about a somewhat shy woman who has been banned from home due to some unmentioned action and a billionaire  playboy who doesn't believe that grizzly bears are meant to meant with only one woman for their entire life meet when he seeks out aid to find out what is causing his clan to not reproduce.  Annie is the expert and is hired to solve the problem, but from the moment they meet she knows he is her mate and he, well let's just say he opens his mouth and inserts his foot really well which causes a major gap between them for a week.  When his mom tells him that he was a major idiot, he sets out to apologize profusely and win the heart of his mate. It was super quick, but their fight when she confesses he is her mate was epic and in the end when he works to win her was perfect.  Cute story, I enjoyed it.

Baby, I'm Howling For You (Alphaville) - Christine Warren

Renny is on the run from an obsessive madman and her last chance at finding a place can be safe is Alpha, Washington, but when it is within her grasp, her car dies and she knows her stalkers are right behind her. She runs into the woods and is almost caught by the coyotes after her. The only reason she finds herself still alive is that of the wolf who shoots at her pursuer and just in the nick of time too.  Mick wants nothing from the female wolf he rescues but he can't just let her die in his front yard, so he brings her into his home and calls for help.  What he doesn't like is that the moment she shifts into her human self, he can't keep his eyes off her and when it is decided, and not by him, that she should stay the night in his home while she recovers from her injuries he can't stop himself from feeling glad that he was to have her under his roof for a bit more time.  Mick lost his mate and he doesn't know why he didn't follow her into death, but when Renny comes into his life, his wolf won't stop telling him that she is their mate. He tries to resist her and to push her away, but with each attempt on her life, he grows more and more determined to protect her and to have her. Renny is confused by Mick's behavior; when they first meet his behavior screams that he wants nothing to do with her, but then he projects protective and domineering tendencies and when he mate-claims her she is just utterly confused, but deep down she hopes that they can work things out, because she is falling in love fast and hard. I loved the characters and the concept of Alpha, Washington. This new series by Christine Warren has great potential. The villains were so easy to hate and Renny is such a strong female protagonist. I️ didn’t like how quickly Mick caves to his desire for Renny. He lost his mate and from the moment Renny runs onto his land he gives off strong vibes of how much her presence isn’t wanted but then suddenly he bites and claims her as his mate and then he goes on like it is a done deal. His resistance went from strong to nonexistent and then he was pissed when she had doubts about his commitment.  Their adventure was exciting. The dynamic between Renny and Mick was great. The action exciting. The passion intense and nonstop. It was a second chance at love for Mick and a second chance at happiness for Renny. I will definitely read more in this series. All of the secondary characters were strong and stood on their own and I️ can’t wait for each of their stories too.

Release Day Review! Hard Breaker (Gargoyles # 6) by Christine Warren
Hard Breaker: A Beauty and Beast Novel (Gargoyles Series) - Christine Warren

From New York Times bestselling author Christine Warren comes the sixth book in her red-hot romance series in which even the most beastly gargoyle is able to win the heart of a beautiful human woman.

Ivy Beckett has a special gift. She can hear voices, feel events, and receive messages from great distances. Which is also a curse. The moment her family is killed by the servants of the Darkness, she knows it. And the only way to fight these evil forces is to align her powers with a Guardian. A legendary warrior of stone who strikes fear in her heart
and fire in her soul…

Baen is a fierce and powerful gargoyle who has sworn to protect all humans from the Darkness. But when this mighty winged warrior swoops down to rescue Ivy from the jaws of death, he is drawn into a battle that is more dangerous
and more intimatethan he ever bargained for. The beautiful, gifted Ivy touches something deep within him, an all-consuming passion that puts both their lives at risk. Can he conquer the armies of evil itself . . . without losing the woman he loves?

Christine Warren’s Gargoyle (aka: Beauty and the Beast) series is one series that you don’t want to miss. The series has gargoyle guardians and witchy warden’s saving mankind from evil’s clutches as it tries to encompass the world in darkness. First I guess, I should say that it is my understanding that Hard Breaker is the last book in this series and while I haven’t read all of them yet, (I really need to get caught up on my TBR pile!), the author makes it easy to read each and every book as standalones and still easily be able to grasp all concepts of the overall series plot.

That being said, let me get to what you really want to know; is this book good? Definitely, the author created a spectacular ending with a sensational battle and a very rocky relationship. Ivy is a reluctant heroine that gets the surprise of her life and has a bone to pick with fate which keeps the relationship on rocky ground despite the hot and heavy attraction that burns between them. The reader can certainly empathize with the situation that the characters find themselves in and Baen is one hunky winged guardian that easily captures the heart.

The danger that plagues the couple is full of suspense, thrills, betrayals and death defying action which keeps readers completely engrossed in the tale from start to finish and plenty of supporting characters spice things up to really keep readers on their toes.

What’s better than one sexy guardian? Why a six sexy guardians and their wardens, which the story provides as previous characters join our hero and heroine for one outstanding knock down drag out finale.  I love Christine Warren’s books and while I am sad to say goodbye to this series (of course I will be re-reading again and again) I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us readers next.

Hard Breaker is the 6th and final book in the Gargoyles series!

This series is based on an eternal conflict between good and evil. Our heroes are seven immortal Guardians, who view each other as brothers and work together to protect the world from the seven demons of the dark. Our heroines are the women who reawaken them...

Review For: Hard Breaker by Christine Warren
Hard Breaker: A Beauty and Beast Novel (Gargoyles Series) - Christine Warren

Hard Breaker by Christine Warren is book Six in the "Gargoyles" series. This is the story of Ivy and Baen. I have read the previous book but do feel this can easily be a standalone book.
Baen is a gargoyle who is assigned to protect the humans from the Darkness. When been comes in to save Ivy he is immediately drawn to her and very protective of her. Ivy has special powers that have lead to some harsh things. Baen is a strong Alpha male type with Ivy who is very independent...she had to be really.
I enjoyed seeing these two come together along with the exciting story line. Not an easy book to put down for sure!

Hard Breaker: A Beauty and Beast Novel (Gargoyles Series) - Christine Warren

The final battle has arrived. The seven major demons are ready to take their place in the world. And the only thing standing in their way are the seven Guardians and their mates. This installment doesn't just bring us the next couple but one major bomb is dropped that the Guardians' seventh brother is already on earth and has been from the very beginning. This one though focuses on Baen and Ivy. Ivy has been doing her part in this war in England where she helps the underground resistance to smuggle out Wardens and hide them from the Order. She can handle herself just fine but when a Guardian swoops in to save her she can't help but eye him as some delicious side of hotness. What she can't abide by though is losing her independence and doesn't like that Fate has said that they will end up together. While Baen tries to win over his mate's doubts and alleviates her fears, he also has his hands full saving her from one attack or another. The whole gang comes back together in Paris where they will stage their final stand and stop Armageddon. This one had all of the fun tongue-in-cheek humor that we have come to enjoy from Christine Warren's gargoyles and their outspoken mates. It was a fun ride filled from beginning to end with action and adventure and the ride was fun to go along with. Their passion and the scene where they confess their love is so beautifully written. Loved Baen's declaration and he handled it perfectly. Loved it. I do hope though that there might be one more book in the series about the last Guardian and his mate that we just very briefly met in this one.
