Epic Fail for my "Clean out your E-reader Challenge"

Well, this one slipped right past me.  I did not clean off very many freebies *snort*… I have so many new releases already pre-ordered coming out the next few months, I'm not even pretending  to renew the challenge.

Review of "Red-Headed Step-Child (Sabina Kane #1)" by Jaye Wells
Red-Headed Stepchild (Sabina Kane, #1) - Jaye Wells

This reader's personal opinion, ©2013, all rights reserved.*

This one was seriously schizophrenic; could not make up its mind if humorous chicklit, blood and gore vampire thriller, cult squickiness, urban fantasy, rape culture (no one actually raped), mystery, gang violence or damsel in distress (about the only genre not really attempted, just hinted at, was romance or possibly even BDSM erotica). An intriguing world-building with an underlying plot-line of Lilith mythology and mysterious connection to heroine that in the end

was in no way revealed, resolved or went anywhere other than a few breadcrumbs presumably picked up by next books in series.

Remember to visit Fantasy Is More Fun and Because Reading is better than real life so you can both sign up in the linky and participate in the giveaway.

I plan on reading mostly eARCs for the challenge, because I had clicked to request so many on Netgalley lately, and to my big surprise I was accepted for most of them! This is not usual for me, so I have been slower than I would like to give feed-back to the publishers. Here’s my list of books I’d like to complete for the challenge, the link will take you to the book’s Booklikes page so that you can easily add it to your own shelf if you’d like to:
