The Hooker and the Hermit - Penny Reid,Luci Cosway

♪♫My Pick For Book Theme Song♫♪

Let Me Love You by DJ Snake feat. Justin Bieber  --This kind of says it all…Annie just needs to let someone love her….and Ronan sure wants to try.♫

Book Title:  The Hooker and the Hermit

Author:  L.H. Cosway & Penny Reid

Narration:  George Allen & Lucy Rivers

Series:  Rugby #1

Genre:  New Adult, Sports Romance

Source:  Own Audible Audiobook

Add to Goodreads

OVERALL RATING:  4/5 Stars (Grade=B+)

My Thoughts

Overall, my biggest issue was the Irish accent of the male narrator, I really don't like the way he drops the H sound, and it just comes out sounding like baby talk to me.  It just blows my whole image of Ronan, a guy who talks like a baby cannot be thought of as hot…

...this might be one of those books that I would have enjoyed more if I had read it instead of listened.  Trying not to let that influence my rating too much, I will say that this story is refreshingly funny, and well written.  Also, I found the heroines growth to be most inspiring.

Ratings Breakdown

Plot:  4.2/5

Main Characters:  4/5

Secondary Characters:  4/5

The Feels:  3.5/5

Addictiveness:  3.5/5

Theme or Tone:  4.2/5

Flow (Writing Style):  4/5

Backdrop (World Building):  4.5/5

Originality:  4/5

Book Cover:  5/5

Narration:  3.5/5

Ending:  4.3/5 Cliffhanger:  Nope!

Will I continue this series?  Idk??? I read a excerpt of this book on Goodreads and I could totally continue with this series as long as I read them in book format.

Sex, Love & Dating Disasters The Flood by Steven Scaffardi | Official Book Trailer

One bet, four girls, eight weeks, multiple dates. What could possibly go wrong?

Following his traumatic eight month dry spell, Dan Hilles is back in the driving seat and ready to put his dating disasters behind him.

But if only it were that simple.

After a drunken afternoon in the pub, fuelled by the confidence of alcohol, Dan makes a bet with his three best pals that will complicate his love-life more than ever when he brazenly declares that he could juggle multiple women all at the same time.

With just eight weeks to prove his point, Dan is about to find out how hard it is to date a flood of women without them all finding out about each other, especially when they come in the shape of an ex-girlfriend, a stalker, the office ice queen and the one that got away.

The Flood is the hilarious follow-up to The Drought by lad lit author Steven Scaffardi, chronicling the adventures of unlucky-in-love Dan Hilles. Available at Amazon and all good book retailers from January 2016.

In the video I mention nine (I think :)) books, the good books out of these nine are

The Cage - Megan Shepherd (YA, genre ?, maybe in the direction of SciFi, fantasy or whatever)

Delayed Penalty - Sophia Henry (contemporary sports romance, new adult)

Puckert - Helena Hunting (contemporary sports romance, adult)

Looking for you - Paige & Smith (contemporary sports romance, adult, such a sweet book!)

Happy Reading!

This Summer - Katlyn Duncan

Before college, before responsibilities, Hadley Beauman and best friend Lily are determined to have a summer to remember. There will be all the usual dramas - ex-boyfriends who don't seem to know what 'ex' means, pesky younger brothers with unrequited crushes, but what Hadley didn't anticipate was the out-of-the-blue return of the seriously hot boy-next-door, Will Carson. The boy who broke her heart when he skipped town two years ago.

Will may have shot up a foot and filled out (oh yes), but inside he carries the weight of guilt - for leaving, for coming back... Now he's just passing through to tie up loose ends but it's clear the old chemistry still crackles between him and Hadley. Trouble is, it's built on two years of lies...

This summer might just be the best time of their lives, but is Hadley ready for everything to change - again?

The Harem - Thomas Sweeney

I had to make a video of finding my book on a bookshelf at the local bookstore, Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena, CA.  I went into the store to find it on the shelf with other local authors, but found this instead...

Thank you Vroman's for your support and being the first bookstore to stock The Harem on your bookshelves!   :)
