The Stolen Bride by Cynthia Woolf
The Stolen Bride (Hope's Crossing) (Volume 3) - Cynthia Woolf

Lovely story about a couple trying to come to terms with the idea of being married while dealing with their own personal issues. Our heroine Bella just wants to get away from a controlling father and a marriage she doesn’t want and Alex, our hero, wants a mother for his sometimes misbehaved twins but at the same time doesn’t want to fall in love again.

The premise of the story was congruent with the times and that’s something I always appreciate from this author. She’s always accurate in her storytelling and the detailing of the setting made up for the lack of character depth that I thought missed the mark on this one.
Now, I’m not sure how I feel about the romance. There was not much of it but how could there when she was a mail-order bride? They hardly knew each other, they came from different social classes, and they thought they wanted different things. So all in all it was a perfectly accurate story but only with a smidgen of romance. 3 stars.

Genevieve: Bride of Nevada
Genevieve: Bride of Nevada - Cynthia Woo... Genevieve: Bride of Nevada - Cynthia Woolf I received a ARC for a honest review.
I found this to be another great book by Cynthia Woolf. Ms. Woolf writes very sweet, easy and enjoyable reads that you don't want to put down.
Genevieve Copeland has had a tough live...being a orphan at the age of 5 she was to old to be adopted. Genny has always loved children and has help to take care of them. Now with the fire that has taken place she moves forward to getting that family she always wanted. So she becomes a Mail Order Bride and heads to Elko Nevada. Stuart MacDonnell is a widower who lost his wife in childbirth. Now Stuart has two children to raise and decided that the only thing to do was get a Mail Order Bride. Stuart tells Genny that he can't love again and that they only children will be the two he already has. Genny has the children she always wanted but does she have the family she always wanted?

The Replacement Bride (Hope's Crossing Book 2) by Cynthia Woolf
The Replacement Bride (Hope's Crossing Book 2) - Cynthia Woolf

Heat level: 2

Jesse had everything ready to finally settle down and start a family with his fiancée, unfortunately she had other plans and refused him at the last moment. He's so hurt after that rejection he decides never to fall in love again but still wants to start a family so he contacts a mail bride agency and asks for a new bride. He gets lovely and sweet Clare. She’s more beautiful than he thought possible (and even though he develops feeling for her) he simply tells her she will always be taken care of but he will never love her. Clare of course falls in love with caring, loving Jesse but after a while she's not sure she wants to stay, specially since she's never got over the fact that she was just a replacement.

As usual, the author painted a very vivid and colorful setting, never missing a detail. Also, the mix of mystery complemented the story nicely. The only thing is that I’d have liked the main characters and their relationship with a bit more depth as I felt we only brushed the surface and we missed a lot of emotional dwelling for the sake of plot. All in all a good and entertaining story.

Montana Sky: Thorpe's Mail-Order Bride (Kindle Worlds)
Montana Sky: Thorpe's Mail-Order Bride (... Montana Sky: Thorpe's Mail-Order Bride (Kindle Worlds) - Cynthia Woolf This was a really sweet romance that you can't put down. I had to read it in one sitting.
Lena DuBois did not know of her father but her mother was a madam at a really famous bordello. Lena didn't not actually grow up there as she was sent to school by her mother and also Lena became a teach at the school. But now Lena is back visiting her mom when a man comes forward to say that he is her father and he wants to marry her off to a gentleman in New York. This sends Lena in to a world win where she decides to up and leave the her mom and the area to get far away from them. In way of doing so, she has seen a news paper ad asking for women to marry and becomes brides of men out front. There Lena goes to the company with the need for wives and she is shown pictures of potential husbands. When she see John Thorpe pictures she decides on him and goes forth to Montana where he is located. She marries John and they are happy getting to know each other and seem to be doing well. But then a letter goes forward from a lawyer saying her father has died and left her his money and also that her step-brother is very upset by this and possible might her her as he did her father. Lena knows that if John finds out about her mother this could change his view on her as he wanted a highly moral women.
This starts their really sweet and emotional love story. I was glad to have the chance to read and review this book.
