Fantastic Historical Romance
Hell Hath No Fury (Devilish Debutantes Book 1) - Annabelle Anders

Hell Hath No Fury is an amazing historical romance by Annabelle Anders.  Ms. Anders has delivered a well-written book.  The characters are outstanding, I love them.  Flavion married Cecily for her money, and promptly informed her after their wedding night.  He then flaunts his mistress everywhere.  Cecily wants out of the marriage.  Stephen is Flavion's cousin and arrives on the scene too late to stop the wedding.  Stephen, Flavion and Cecily's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle, suspense and action.  I enjoyed reading Hell Hath No Fury and look forward to reading more from Annabelle Anders in the future.  Hell Hath No Fury is book 1 of the Devilish Debutantes Series but can easily be read as a standalone.  This is a complete story, not a cliff-hanger.

Entertaining Read
Hell Hath No Fury (Devilish Debutantes Book 1) - Annabelle Anders

Hell Hath No Fury is a well-written and entertaining read. Despite a few phrases that were a bit out of place with time, Anders does a good job of setting the scene and drawing the reader in. We also get some suspense with our romance as the honorable Stephen and our fiery heroine, Cecily, work to manipulate Flavion, and it appears that someone is out to get rid of Cecily... Permanently. The chemistry between Stephen and Cecily can't be denied, even though Stephen's honor demands that he do just that and the banter between them adds some wit and fun to the story. With some characters we can love and some we can love to hate, this romance kept me turning pages to see if this pair would get their happy ever after and if the bumbling Flavion would get his just desserts.

Overall, this is a solid debut from Anders and I look forward to seeing what's next from this author.

The Undaunted Debutantes Series (Books 1-3) by Christina McKnight
The Undaunted Debutantes Boxed Set - Christina McKnight

The Disappearance of Lady EdithOne tragic night has lead three women on a journey of danger, courage and love. Christina McKnight, begins her Undaunted Debutantes series with a bang. The Disappearance of Lady Edith is a story of betrayals, danger and the quest for justice. The death of a close friend has pushed Lady Edith to the edge. She wants someone to pay and she needs answers. Her determination catches the eye of a possible suitor, but also puts her in more danger than she could ever have imagined. The lure of the chase is hard to ignore.

The Misfortune of Lady Lucianna - What draws me to author Christina McKnight is one trait above all else. She doesn't write victims, she creates heroines. Her female leads are spirited individuals with the brains to fight for themselves instead of playing the damsel in distress. Of course, in the case of Lucianna that proved to be somewhat of a negative trait, because she lead with her heart instead of the facts. A painful tragedy has set her on a course that could prove to be her undoing. The Misfortune of Lady Lucianna is a story of survival that romances, intrigues and captivates.

The Misadventures of Lady Ophelia - Christina McKnight has immense talent. The shining beacon of that gift is her ability to create great characters. Characters that stand out above and beyond the words on the page. Heroes and heroines that come alive with their personalities as they lead stories of courage and heart. The Misadventures of Lady Ophelia fits that mold. Ophelia has the distinction of being slightly bookish in personality but never lacking in heart. The death of a friend changed her life. Guilt drove her, but love saved her. That one event set her on a course that lead her to her soulmate and brought her out of her reserved shell and into the risky venture of life. The danger is not only in the mystery that pulls her deeper into the dark, but in the uncertainty that comes with listening to her heart. These Undaunted Debutantes are loyal, fierce and intoxicating. With the series as a whole Ms. McKnight not only conjured up a dynamic and captivating trio, she also spotlighted how beautiful it is to be unique.

Hell Hath No Fury (Devilish Debutantes) by Annabelle Anders
Hell Hath No Fury (Devilish Debutantes Book 1) - Annabelle Anders

It's dangerous, endearing, dramatic scandal. Hell Hath No Fury should be renamed, It's complicated. Cecily married for love, will she cheat for the same reason?  Two people are caught up in the machinations of a devious plot that can only end in heartache.  Love is a battlefield and Ms. Anders puts readers right on the front lines.  A tempting display of romance.
