Do You Believe – Karma by Donna Augustine @donnaugustine
Karma: Karma Series, Book #1 - Donna Augustine

Just looking at the cover for Karma by Donna Augustine made me want it.

When I wrote the review, the book was free, but be sure and check for the “0”.

Also, the series is available in a boxset for $5.99.

Karma (Karma, #1)

Goodreads  /  Amazon

Just looking at the wickedly cool cover for Karma by Donna Augustine, I knew I wanted to read it. I was hooked from the very beginning.

She fights Fate tooth and nail. She is a transfer and a problem for him. I love her and her feisty attitude. I don’t blame her for being ticked off, being forced to do a job she didn’t sign up for.

“Don’t break her.” I laughed out loud when I read it.

The fabulous, quirky characters have supernatural agendas, working to keep the world running in the natural order of things. So, come on in and meet, Karma, Lady Luck, Fate, Murphy’s Law, The Jinxes…

In this wildly funny story, the star is a feisty, hard headed girl who thinks she chooses her own path, but does she? Is our destiny already written or do we have free will?

I couldn’t put it down and read it start to finish in one sitting.

Oh no. There isn’t a cliffhanger, but there is no end. I hate that, but I loved the book.

I picked this up as an Amazon freebie.

A Step into the Dark by Donna Augustine
A Step into the Dark: Ollie Wit Series - Donna Augustine

Ollie Wit just lost her family a month ago, and she knows it is due to the monsters she sees, but no one else sees them. Her shrink thinks she's nuts, and just wants her to be better, so she tries to make them all think she's fine, and normal. But, when someone instructs her to come work for him, and that he knows what she is, things get even more crazy for her.

Now, as she starts to learn this new world, secrets come out, but some are also trying to keep Ollie in the dark.

This book was a great start to this series. I thoroughly enjoyed Ollie, and her brand of humor, and how strong she was. I loved the relationship between Ollie and Kane as well. It was great reading about them, and how I can totally see them ending up together.

I will say towards the end it seemed to end rather abruptly without much details into the plot other than a few major things.

Other than that, I thought this book was really good. I enjoyed this world that the author created, and I look forward to more!

Jinxed by Donna Augustine
Jinxed (Karma) (Volume 2) - Donna Augustine

Jinxed begins when something bad happens to a new friend of Karma's. It seems with all of her bad luck lately that she's the one who is really jinxed. In her mission to help bring back her friend, and avoid Fate at all costs, she signs up for a some things that may completely change her as a person, and not for the better. She does some pretty crazy things, and endures far worse for this friend, with no luck at all. But Fate may have to step in to help her, or hope may be lost.

Jinxed was a lot different then I thought it was going to be. I had actually read a few bad reviews about it, and I was sort of leery of it. But I really shouldn't have worried. This story just got more intense, with some good humor, and crazy new things going on. I can not wait to read the next book, and I highly recommend this series. Even if you see a bad review, I wouldn't let the keep you from this if your into some crazy morbid humor, with lots of drama and action.

Karma by Donna Augustine
Karma - Donna Augustine

Karma begins when Camilla dies from a horrible accident. Now, she's being told she's the new Karma. This is all so odd for her she can't understand it, but add in her new job, the goodbye to her human life, and not to mention Fate seems to be out to get her literally, she's just really have a bad time of it. But when things start heating up she's there to take on her current job, and to learn about her murder.

This book started out semi interesting, but I was seriously annoying with the heroine. BUT that didn't last long at all. I soon fell in love with this unique hilarious story about Karma, Fate, add a dash of Murphy's Law, and Lady Luck and you get a whole new world of awesome craziness. I just adored this book, and by the end I was anxiously waiting for the next one. It ended up being just the right amount of humor, and seriousness mixed into one big package! I now look forward to reading more in this series!

The Keepers by Donna Augustine
The Keepers (The Alchemy Series) - Donna Augustine

The Keepers begins when Jo gets a job at a casino at the help of her lab partner at school. When she meets the owner of the casino things seem to get a little crazy. See Jo's not exactly a people person, and due to the fact that she knows she is different from most people that helps her keep her distance. But after meeting Cormac things go from bad to worse for her, and a whole new world seems to open up.

This book was okay. I liked the whole first half of it, then after that it sort of fell flat. The beginning was very interesting, and I enjoyed the characters for the most part. But then after the halfway point it just got frustrating. The story was still pretty interesting, but the characters made poor choices and drove me nuts.
I'm not sure if I will read any more in this series, but this was okay to pass the time with.
