Giveaway & Review – Mermaid Fins, Winds & Rolling Pins by Erin Johnson @EJohnsonWrites @dollycas
Mermaid Fins, Winds & Rolling Pins: A Cozy Witch Mystery (Spells & Caramels) (Volume 3) - Erin Johnson

I am so excited to be a part of the wonderful tour for Mermaid Fins, Winds & Rolling Pins, A Cozy Witch Mystery, by Erin Johnson. This is a bit different from my usual cozy reading and I loved every minute of it.

Mermaid Fins, Winds & Rolling Pins: A Cozy Witch Mystery
Cozy Mystery
3rd in Series
Self Published (November 21, 2017)
Paperback: 286 pages
Paperback: 286 pages
Kindle ASIN: B077CHVX8N

I love mermaids and cozy mysteries, so to get my hands on Mermaid Fins, Winds & Rolling Pins by Erin Johnson was quite the treat.

Imogene is a Swallow. No, it is not an erotic thing, but a magical power and hunky Hank, the Prince is teaching her how to use it.

A trip to the Mermaid Kingdom and a murder will have Imogene, Hank and her band of merry bakers working the investigation.

I love all the magical creatures, some new to me, and we even have some rambunctious pirates. I love Iggy, but ya gotta be careful because ya might get burned.

How would you like to be able to swallow a sea bubble, grow fins and gills, changing into a mermaid and swimming the ocean blue? Oh man, I sure would.

The fabulous world building leads to an adventure I am so glad I didn’t miss. This light, humorous mystery is full of characters to laugh with, love with, and fear for. Even in this world of beauty, someone must die to create an undersea mystery of a fresh kind.

This is Book III, but I had no trouble following the mystery, and even though not all questions will be answered, this particular mystery is solved and it left me wanting to read more. I call that…a job well done.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Mermaid Fins, Winds & Rolling Pins by Erin Johnson.

Reading progress update: I've read 5%.
Grace and the Guiltless (Curious Fox: Wanted) - Erin Johnson

Now only two things :

1. (doesn't apply anymore)

2. A few pages in, and I'm feeling like I'm stuck in a weird episode of Bonanza. The hint of revenge to come has me hoping that this will end up being more like The Quick and the Dead.

3, I like the new cover better (shown below). It's way cooler looking.

An Enchanted Season - Maggie Shayne,Erin McCarthy,Nalini Singh,Jean Johnson This review/rating is only for Beat of Temptation by Nalini Singh.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t think much about Nate and Tamsyn. They were just always there. Both are an integral part of the Pack, but they were always on the peripheral. Tammy is the healer and Nate is a sentinel, but Beat of Temptation gives us the chance to read their story.

Wow. I absolutely loved their story to bits! Tammy is just 19 years old while Nate is 29. The large age different plays a part in their relationship because Nate wants to make sure than Tammy gets the freedom she deserves. As the healer of the Pack, she has a lot of responsibilities for such a young age and Nate doesn’t want her to feel overwhelmed when the mating bond fully kicks in. So he keeps her at a distance that is convenient for him, while Tammy is suffering both physically and emotionally for Nate’s soothing touch.

Though it’s a short one, it’s definitely worth the read! Singh’s writing is great and the love between Nate and Tammy is romantic, sensual, and most of all, enduring. I loved it!

Favourite Quote:
His hands tightened. “And what are you going to do after getting yourself all heated up like this?” It was a half-growled question, but she knew him well enough to know that that roughness was an indication of need, not anger.
She titled her head, looking up at him as he looked down. “I bought a friend.”
He seemed to choke for a second. “A friend?”
“Uh-huh. He vibrates.” It was a whisper meant to carry to his ears alone. “I think I’ll try him out tonight.”
His fingers were pressing down so hard, he was probably going to leave bruises. She didn’t care.
