Until You - Bridie Blake

Ellie is the most normal of all she knows.  College is going fine.  Life may pass her by.  What's next? Kiss a celebrity and don't tell a soul!

Jason is in a pinch and needs help.  Ellie is the closest solution.  Can a college student and a movie star convince everyone they are together?

Seriously this book has so much to it.  Laughter, heat, coming of age, heart, loyalty, and more.  I found the characters to be very real and seriously charming.  Together, they made a great story.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Evernight - Kristen Callihan Solid 4.5...I don't know I might need a reread. I can't put my finger on why this fell a little short of 5--when they are separated, I thought oh, I wish I got to read a whole extra book on Will falling for Holly again
so maybe it was the neat ending. Maybe it was that I didn't want it to end.

please ma'am, can I have more?
Evernight (Darkest London) - Kristen Callihan

I have to take a break from reading these. I prefer if there's story with romance rather than story in service of romance. I just felt somewhat unsatisfied by the end of the story and wanted more.

As usual, this is my opinion, your mileage may vary, everyone experiences stories differently.

Will Thorne's sanity is being drained away by the artificial heart in his chest. He goes to Holly Evernight, the person who put it there, who he blames for his difficulties. Now many people want her dead and she's hiding in her house with her experiments.

To me it felt like the author wrote herself into a corner and then had to use a lot of handwavium and deus (or faerie)ex macina to solve the problems.  I was just left wanting more.

I would be stretching things a little to call it horror; it's supernatural, romantic suspense, darkest London; ghost; werewolves; monsters; terrifying women.

Reading progress update: I've read 150 out of 398 pages.
Evernight (Darkest London) - Kristen Callihan

Reading this one at home, this is a complex world and I'm interested to see how its going to pan out.  I like Holly Evernight, she and I have a lot in common.
