My Thoughts

Girl meets boy…girl has instant connection to boy…girl finds out she's something paranormal-ish, and boy is too.  Been there, done that. If you like that sort of read and don't mind some high schoolish antics (like…wtf was up with the impromptu ghost hunting they did?) then this story is a well written one.  It had it's funny moments, I'll give it that.  Unfortunately, it just isn't for me.  I think I'm over this kind of read.  Maybe, I should quit trying to make this genre work for me, but some of paranormal out there is doable for me.  Still trying to decide if I want to give her adult series (Charley Davidson) a try.  It seems to have more Mystery approach, so it might work.

The Midnight Star (Young Elites Book 3) - Marie Lu

♪♫My Pick For Book Theme Song♫♪

Monster by Skillet  --For Adelina…the monstrous girl…

The secret side of me, I never let you see

I keep it caged but I can't control it

So stay away from me, the beast is ugly

I feel the rage and I just can't hold it

It's scratching on the walls, in the closet, in the halls

It comes awake and I can't control it

Hiding under the bed, in my body, in my head

Why won't somebody come and save me from this, make it end?

My Thoughts

Overall, a satisfying ending to this vivid, darkishly fantastical realm.  While, I didn't like this as much as her Legend Series, it was a worthwhile read.  Despite my minds underwhelming capacity for the fantastical.  If you sometimes like to root for the bad guys, then this should be to your liking.

At the start of this year, I decided to purchase books without reading reviews first. The cover of Cemetery Tours caught my eye so I decided to give it a gamble. Due to the fact that I want to avoid giving away spoilers, this review won’t go into too much detail, instead I’ll give a general overview of the plot and my impressions of the book.

Let's Look At 100 Ghosts by Dougie Horner! This is a new thing I'm going to do since YouTube is such a visual medium. I want to read more illustrated books, graphic novels, books with photographs, etc. I think they're fun and make for quick reads, but are awesome art things. :]
