Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - J.K. Rowling,Mary GrandPré

Harry Potter, the boy who lived! What can I NOT say about this book? I grew up alongside Harry Potter. I remember the first time I was introduced to Harry was the fifth grade. My teacher was not so friendly, so when she read the text aloud, I always tuned her out. However, when I finally got my hands on a copy, my world changed. I stayed up late reading. I woke up early to read. I missed birthday parties, movies, softball practice, etc. just to spend time with Harry. I related to Harry so easily. He was an outcast and a little socially awkward. I envied his magical powers and enchanted castle. I would love to allow my students to partner read this text or listen to the audiobook. I think I would challenge them to create a Quidditch field, and have them measure the dimensions of their creations. I love the idea of allowing them to create their own Hogwarts house, assigning a mascot, and writing about the attributes that a young witch or wizard would need to be assigned to that house!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Re-Read
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - Jim Dale,J.K. Rowling

Re-Read:
February 8 - February 10 2018

I was told by a coworker that the audio version of this series was really awesome and she did not lie. I hadn’t realized it until I started listening but I’ve really missed this world of magic and mystery. It’s been quite some time since I’ve read about Harry and crew and I’m really glad to be be back. Now if only I didn’t have to wait quite so long to get the audiobooks from my library lol

Indepth look at what makes Harry Potter a Favorite
Everything You Need to Know About the Harry Potter Series - Charles River Editors

This was a pretty good book that looks quickly at all 7 books and the main characters and their personalities. I did enjoy this as it was a good synopsis of the books. It also makes for a good follow up if the books are assigned for reading (Literature).

Reading progress update: I've read 1%.
Harry Potter - The Complete Collection - J.K. Rowling

I don't usually re-read long series but I'm on the Harry Potter mood and I noticed I never actually read these books in English. I can feel my TBR pile judging me but I can't help it!

This will stay in my currently reading for a while since it's the complete kindle edition with all 7 books. I'm excited!
