I have been left completely in awe of this book. John Donovan help create a movement in the literary world about gay teenagers and their self-discovery of who they are. His writing is simplistic but engaging. He writes characters that are so complex that you can't help but love (or hate) them. My one complaint has to be the length of the novel. I wanted to see so much more. I became completely engrossed in the story that I did not want to see it end! It's not a bad thing but I did want to see how Davy was going to grow into being more... himself. Anyway, it's a great read and for this to be the first book in teen literature to deal with homosexuality in a positive way, it's a pretty damn good one. I highly recommend it.
