Summer Skin
Summer Skin - Kirsty Eagar Two solid stars because it was "okay" and that's how I felt when I was fiiinally done with it. I put this book on-hold for what felt like forever (Almost two months).

I... lost interest 45% in or so and when I finally picked it up again I started skimming just to be done with it.

BUT, I'm not going to say it was completely the book's fault. I think the MC and her friends were great and they made me laugh and I really enjoyed them for a while. The love interest was... eh, okay. I never fell for him the way so many reviewers did. I am weird. But hey, I admit it wasn't anything the characters did, I just didn't care for them.

I don't know, ironically enough the romance (which is something I actively seek in a book) made me very uncomfortable and I just wasn't feeling it.

I got bored eventually and I just hurried to get it done and over with. I'm not giving it more stars because I just didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

Reading progress update: I've read 32 out of 314 pages.
Night Beach - Kirsty Eagar

'I don't want romance and stolen kisses and sweetness and hand holding. I want something so big it's like two planets colliding, with an aftershock that I feel for the rest of my life.'

Kirsty Eagar, ladies and gents. Isn't she some kind of wonderful?

Infandous
Infandous (Fiction - Young Adult) - Elana K. Arnold

INFANDOUS by @ElanaKArnold ! Oh my dear god was this good!

Elana Arnold writes so gorgeously. A mix of fairy tales retold and contemporary YA that is such a juicy combination.

Pair it RAW BLUE by Kirsty Eagar for additional surfing goodness...

Raw Blue by Kirsty Eagar
Raw Blue - Kirsty Eagar

"Ryan's eyes are grey but there are bits of gold in them too. Sometimes when he looks at me the warmth coming from them takes me by surprise. I miss him so much."

Oh this book. I appreciated it much more the second time around. I think the first time I read it, I thought it was going to be a fluff read. And this book is about as far from a fluff read as you can get. Powerful, painful and so so raw. The title of the book matches the writing perfectly.
