Great Story, Great Characters
A Glimpse of the Dream - L.A. Fiore

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**
Tegan Harper had lost her parents and went to live with her grandparents' best friend, Mrs. Marks. Tegan found another child lived at the house even though he was a little older. His name Kane. He helped her through the first night at the house. Mrs. Marks loved mysteries and who-done-its and they played a monthly game of Clue at the library. As time went by, Tegan grew to love Kane, not only as her friend but also as an ever after. Then came the time he declared his love for her.
Tegan had a tough break losing her parents but then found a new family. It was so empowering to watch her grow and so realistic, as if she was someone I knew and was remembering her story. The same with Kane. Their journey was so sweet and yet tortured in places that you wanted to root them on.
I couldn't stop reading. It was an awesome plot and story. They were absolutely stupendous characters. I highly recommend this story.

Waiting for the One Book Review
Waiting for the One - L.A. Fiore

L.A. Fiore's Waiting For The One hooked me from page one. Saffron Mills is fun, sarcastic, honest, and a kiss-asses-first, take names second kind of girl; one of the most relatable characters I have come across. Fiore does a great job in keeping Saffron's voice and character consistent from beginning to end without any reestablishing of Saffron's backstory or life before the here and now in the book, which is something I really appreciated.

I give this book 3 swordfishes; I mean stars ;-) (man talk about a running gag ^__^) because of the partial unreliability of Saffron’s first person narration. I often felt as though some scenes between her and Logan were always missing a few details and I found my self flip-flopping for and against their relationship because I doubted his true feelings and thoughts as they were being told to me by Saffron whom could be miss reading things herself.

Another reason is that I would have liked it if the two’s relationship—Saffron & Logan—had taken a bit longer to develop because I found I enjoyed single/solo Saffron way more than coupled/domestic Saffron. She was never more alive or like herself than when she was hanging out with her friends, with Frank, or on her own.

In addition, without giving too much away, my expectations regarding Logan’s shrouded past were lowered when I discovered his affluent connections not only as an artist, but with his family too. This deficiently overused cliché did put a damper in my reading experience. :-/

Moreover, the image or take on Logan’s character and personality came across as generic and often not trust worthy. When Logan finally starts to open up to Saffron I found myself distrusting his story and wanting their relationship to come to an end, even voicing, “It’s not too late, Saffron. You can still find yourself a decent fella before the end of this book.”

Regardless, it is not often I find myself on the same page with the protagonist as they dive into the unknown, face life altering decisions and events, but I did with this book. And I truly believe it was Fiore’s ability of crafting such a strong and independent thinking female protagonist—and the steamy love scenes—that will draw in any reader. One who would enjoy a story about life, love and change all in the festival having small town of Harrington, Maine.

Beautifully Forgotten (Beautifully Damaged series)
Beautifully Forgotten (Beautifully Damaged series) - L.A. Fiore I love this series!!!!!!!!!!

I think that there is something so special about this group. But more than that I think for me it was essentially the way this story is written. Ms. Fiore really knows how to intertwine her cast, in ways that I never saw coming. And I also think she writes such mature characters, in that people are able to move passed the past, and can really concentrate on the opportunities that they have at hand.

I have to say that I read the original story for Beautifully Damaged, so it took me a while to understand this story, but once I got everything understood, I think that the edits made the story more realistic. One lesson this book really teaches is that everyone has a good and bad side (except Heidi she was just a bitch) and we can't judge people based on an incident, or on a particular period of their lives. We also learn that everyone has secrets and when I say everyone I mean everyone.

But at the heart of this story are people who life has not always been kind to, but who have found a way to make it through, and more than that they have found people who can help them through the hard times. I loved this book, and I regret I took so long to pick it up. I hope there are more come cause Kyle needs a girl Ms. Fiore, I want you to undo that placental rupture, or make a miracle happen for Trace and Ember cause the world needs another Trace Montgomery
