4 Star Code Wolf
Code Wolf - Linda Thomas-Sundstrom

Seattle detective and alpha werewolf, Derek Miller loyalty is tested when he meets Riley Price and a feral bond instantly forms, for he must keep the existence of his kind secret at all costs. When the forces of darkness have Riley in their sights, Derek must choose between the Were code of silence and saving the woman who’s ignited his desire.

This werewolf romance sucks readers right into the story with lots of suspense and red hot chemistry. The characters are strong, compelling and easily capture the readers’ attention and while the attraction is instant and sizzles with electricity, the relationship is hampered by the Were code of silence that must be kept. Lots of turbulent emotions flow from the pages including passion, confusion, doubt, surprise, fear, laughter and hope, which really makes the story a well-rounded and balanced romance that is believable.

The fast pace keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense, surprising twists and hidden secrets and life altering revelations. Readers may feel that some there are some events that could have been expanded on to give a more satisfying feeling, for example: why did Riley’s parents hide the truth from her? And did the deal with the vampire queen work? But while these questions are not answered completely (could there be another book in the future?), they are answered and the story is one that readers can really sink their teeth into and enjoy.

Immortal Christmas - Susan Krinard,Linda Thomas-Sundstrom,Theresa Meyers

The edition I read was a 3-in-one.

This is an interesting collection of Vampire Christmas stories, starting with a story that made more sense of some of the Opiri series, Halfway to Dawn by Susan Krinard. This is a story of a mission that almost goes wrong and a vampire who remembers the Christmas Truce in World War I and who really wants to get as far away as possible from his master.  I loved the banter between the two ex-soldiers, they did show how people who have been together because of friendship would work together.  The romance was a bit rushed but good.

Bright Star by Linda Thomas came next and it was an interesting romance between two people who had their own obsessions and motives and who have to try to come to an understanding that will make both of them happy.  Enjoyable while I read it but I don't remember much.

Last but not least was The Gift by Theresa Meyers and I really liked this one, a cursed necklace and a complicated legacy makes for an interesting pair of people who have different agendas but working together might make them a great couple.

This is a good set of stories and I've read Krinard and Thomas before but I'd like to read more by Theresa Meyers.

Hickory Road Ramblings, Essays and Photographs on Life and Gardening - Barbara Jean McHugh,Paul Thomas,Linda Thomas

Hickory Road Ramblings, Essays and Photographs on Life and Gardening
Enjoyed this book because it's not only about her garden but photographs and other important seasonal things that occur over time.
Love how she is preparing the garden, planning what crops to grow during the winter months-we do the same thing, even have the seeds bought.
Good memories of the flowers and how she decided where they will grow.
Photographs are stunning!  Winter Lace is my favorite as I am relate to what she's knitting and seeing outside.
A master gardener that reminds me so much of my mother as she'd sleep with window open year round also and loved just tossing seeds outside and the wonder of what they'd produce one day.

Red Wolf
Red Wolf - Linda Thomas-Sundstrom

I was lucky enough to meet the author, Linda at a conference where she talked about her work and from there I picked up "Red Wolf." Great writing! This book took me awhile to read but only because it was my traveling book (as in, it lives in my purse for when I'm out and about) which worked well because it was very easy to pick up and get back into the story. The last four chapters were my favorite.
