Transformers (2019-) #1 - Brian Ruckley

So I am not a happy girl right now.   I wanted to like this, but it was not as good as the last two series, it tells the story through a new character that I do not like, and oddly enough keeps some aspects of the old series, which only makes me compare them more.   So yeah.   I will give it some time, and hell, probably keep buying it because at least it's something, but I will grumble and keep the ratings low unless this really shapes up.

The art is good, so two stars instead of one.

Only two more to go...
Optimus Prime #23 - Priscilla Tramontano,John Barber

Then Unicron.  I have a couple issues that I think are not of this continuity and more aligned with the movie, possibly, but not much left.   It's sad, but again, good.   The character development is just top notch, and it goes to show that this was a labor of love; they could have phoned it in because they knew it was ending, and they did not.   Lovely, lovely work here!

Continues to be excellent
Optimus Prime #22 - Sara Pitre-Durocher,John Barber

I'm saddened by the end of this continuity; the new one is not nearly as good so far.   But I am happy that this continues to be excellent right up to the end, so at least I have that, a nice, tight, clean ending to this universe...

Not enough Rocket and Vision
Avengers: No Road Home (2019) #4 (of 10) - Al Ewing,Mark Waid,Jim Zub,Yasmine Putri

And it looks like there'll be less of them. I'm giving up on this series, at least for now, and maybe I'll finish it up eventually if I'm persuaded it gets better.

And Spike wrote this...
[ Spike: Into the Light Marsters, James ( Author ) ] { Hardcover } 2014 - James Marsters

James Marsters penned this, but it doesn't really make sense to me to have this set in season seven, although maybe I'm misremembering the series.   I didn't like season seven much so I haven't seen it in a while.

Anyway, I was disappointed in how short this was, in the lack of character development and the storyline.   The art was fun, and Spike was pretty Spike, so it's not like I hated this.  I'd just hoped for more, especially because I was so pleased with Marsters' writing in the Spike and Dry one-shots.
