Although she thought she had left the darkness behind long ago, her dreams start to haunt her during the day, making her question everything she has.

Ava hopes that meeting with her best friend, Paige, will help her find peace again. Can they put Ava’s dreams to rest, or will the past destroy everything Ava has so carefully built?

Book Review: Have You Got Everything You Want?
Have You Got Everything You Want? (A Short Story) - Agatha Christie

Title: Have You Got Everything You Want?
Author: Agatha Christie
Series: Parker Pyne
Format: bind-up
Length: 20-ish pages
Rating: 3 stars

Synopsis: Elsie Jeffries, married for eighteen months to successful businessman Edward Jeffries, meets Parker Pyne by chance on the Simplon-Orient Express. She has seen Pyne’s advertisements and feels he may be able to help her. She tells Pyne she has seen a fragment of a letter left on Edward’s blotting pad, which points to some sort of plot against her, to be carried out while she is on the train to Stamboul.

Favourite character: Parker Pyne
Least favourite character: N/A

Mini-review: I thought this was a good short story, my only problem, though, is that they’re too short. These could be amazing as full length books, but alas that will never happen. I would’ve loved a book series featuring Parker Pyne.

Dragon Burn: A Dark Kings Novella - Donna Grant

This one I knew what to expect because I accidentally read past it and so it is referenced in the books that follow, so there were no big surprises. But that didn’t take away from an enjoyable story, and I liked Sebastian and Gianna. It isn’t my favorite, but I think that is only because I felt like I had already read it before. It has all of the great traits of a DG book and a DK novel-- adventure, passion, intrigue, and excitement.

Review: "Devil in the Details" (Death and the Devil, #1.8) by L.J. Hayward
Devil in the Details - L.J. Hayward

I really like how all these novellas move the overall storyline along, but why the author decided to not release a full novel instead remains her secret.

~ 4 stars ~

The Way You Love Me: Includes a bonus novella (Angel Falls Book 2) - Miranda Liasson

Once they were outside the door, Cade walked over to where he’d parked Gabby’s bike. “I hope you don’t mind but I went over it a little. Put some air in your tires, tightened your seat, greased the chain.”

Gabby felt another rush of heat blaze into her cheeks. He was being perfectly nice but why did it all sound so… dirty?
