On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves
On the Island - Tracey Garvis-Graves

At first, it was rather shocking. I listened to my friend's praise and borrowed it from the library without reading the back cover. Somehow I thought T.J. was older, but he was only sixteen, so I almost stopped reading. Now I'm glad I didn't because it was a beautiful story - beautiful, horrible and so exciting.
Because T.J. seemed more mature, the love story began years later, and it wasn't "typical" teacher student romance (they were more like friends), I was able to read and even enjoy the story. Author took a very sensitive theme and turned it into an interesting but realistic story. The main characters had a lot of challenges on the island (mother nature is wonderful but scary as hell) but I liked that they also had to face difficulties after returning to civilization. Anna and T.J. had to make an effort to have a relationship and get used to the "real" world. Great book.

Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning
Backstage Pass - Olivia Cunning

It wasn't what I expected but I have to admit I was hooked. I loved the characters. Brian was so sweet and his feelings for Myrna were really strong. And Myrna was an awesome character. She loved rock music, had a backbone (she made the famous rock stars clean the tour bus), and stood up for Brian's parents when she saw how they treated their son.
Sure, the story had too many sex scenes, actually most of the time the main characters were like Duracell bunnies, not realistic at all, but the way Brian heard music while having sex with Myrna was fascinating. And it made the story humorous. The first time she wrote music on Myrna's body I was laughing my head off.
I'm not sure I like Sed but I'll give his story Rock Hard a try.

SHOULD'VE KNOWN BETTER by Cassandra Carr
Should've Known Better - Cassandra Carr
One of Cassandra Carr's best stories. She gets these characters right as they deal with timely incidences in their lives. Sarah does not want to go public with their relationship which causes problems for Sebastian.

I like the way the situation was handled. I thought it was well done and sensitively handled. I could understand both sides though not agree with Sarah and her reasoning. She needed to decide what was more important. When she did decide she almost lost what was most important. I am glad they were able to work it out.

BEDDING THE BABYSITTER by Ava Sterling
Bedding the Babysitter - Ava Sterling
Jenna, the babysitter, has decided to seduce Shane, the father. She is attracted to the older man and wants to be more to him than the babysitter. Will she get her wish?

This is a quick sexy read. Jenna is young but experienced. Shane does seem to be a lot older than her. I wish he were a little closer to her age. He does ask her about their ages but Jenna realizes that men her age have more maturing to do and she does not want bad experiences. Once Shane is convinced that Jenna is serious so is he. I liked that he thought of the future—short term as well as long term. I liked these characters and this short story.
