The Electric Pressure Cooker Cookbook: Easy & Healthy Mediterranean Pressure Cooker Recipes - Quick, Delicious, and Time-Saving Recipes for Electric Pressure Cookers (incl. Detox Smoothies) - Julia Garcia

he Electric Pressure Cooker Cookbook: Easy & Healthy Mediterranean Pressure Cooker Recipes - Quick, Delicious, and Time-Saving Recipes for Electric Pressure Cookers (incl. Detox Smoothies) by Julia Garcia
Always fun to find new things to put into our pressure cooker that are healthy.
Book starts in with the advantages of electric pressure cooking and how to clean it naturally.
Recipe chapters include: soups, vegetarian, fish and seafood, poultry, meat, desserts, detox smoothies and meal plan with shopping list.
Also conversion tables and abbreviations explained. We are eating more healthier these days since my husband's heart attack and find the pressure cooker is so much easier and faster to use for a most healthy option of eating.
What we look for in recipes is fat content-have to know the good and bad parts, sodium and sometimes sugar. We also like to see the picture and to find the ingredients are fresh and healthy ones-not pre packaged salty items.
Very useful information in the first chapters of the book about nutrition and don't give up on recipes are crucial. Love very high quality color photos throughout the book, not just for the recipes. Love the ideas of cleaning the inner pot-will give them a try!
Each recipe comes with a color photo and a bit about the dish and what allergies the dish is made for: gluten free, soy free, nut free, etc.
Tells you how long to prepare the dish and cooking time, servings also.
Useful tips along the way.
List of ingredients but feel free to substitute for your dietary needs, especially using low sodium varieties.
Directions are given along with nutritional information that includes calories, proteins, carbs, dietary fibers, sugars, fat and sat. fats, no sodium levels are noted.
Like the suggestions on how to make the dish a bit different.
Chocolate cake will be one to try when we have company as fat content is a bit high for us to eat the cake on our own-we could have a sliver. Ground beef omelet sounds really good and quick to make.
Smoothie recipes do not use the pressure cooker but go along with a high nutrient based cookbook in a liquid form.
Found quite a few recipes I will try in the next few weeks. Other works by the author are highlighted at the end.
I received this book from the author and this is my honest review

About HARD JUSTICE:

Playing it safe has never felt so dangerous…

Justice Wallington knows how to harness his strength and intimidating size—skills he put to good use first in the MMA cage, and now as a bodyguard at the Body Armor agency. But no opponent has ever left him feeling as off balance as his new client, heiress Fallon Wade. Far from a spoiled princess, she’s sweet and intriguingly innocent. It’s a risk-free assignment, until he’s required to fake a relationship with her in order to blend in.

Sheltered from the world after a family tragedy, Fallon longs to experience life—going to bars, dancing, talking to strangers. Not easy with a huge, lethal-looking bodyguard shadowing her every move. Justice seems like her polar opposite, but pretending to be a couple stirs undeniable heat. And when danger strikes again, it’s not just her safety in jeopardy, but a passion that’s real, raw and absolutely against the rules…

Under Pressure (Body Armor, #1)Under Pressure by Lori Foster
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Leese meets his new charge under less than perfect circumstances. He can see why she needs protection. He just wants her to trust he will keep her safe. Even when it gets ugly.

Catalina has been surviving on her own, and does not feel she needs help. Those that are after her are beyond reach, so what is the point. Now, some hot time, that she could use. There is more to this than just security.

This book was an excellent start to a new series! I loved the characters. How strong the female lead is, how sassy. She knows what she wants. I am surprised the pages did not melt. The book is HOT! This author always gives us her best. I cannot wait to read the next book in the Body Armor series.

Pressure
Pressure - Brian Keene

Off the coast of Mauritius, the ocean floor is collapsing at a rapid rate. Carrie Anderson is a world-champion free diver and a marine biologist and she's going down there to find out what's happening and how to stop it. But what she uncovers is terrifying. She doesn't know exactly what it is, but she knows it's big, it's hungry and it's cold. The pressure builds for Carrie and her team to figure out what to do with this new sea creature as they must contend with a corrupt corporation - one that doesn't mind killing to keep things quiet.

Wow. This was interesting. At no point was the story boring. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. I either loved the characters or loved to hate them. I loved the setting - a gorgeous island with an underwater waterfall - why not put a monster down there?!

Pressure Head
Pressure Head - J.L. Merrow

It took me awhile to get into this one because the snipping-at-each-other form of enemies to lovers is just not that entertaining to me. I also couldn't understand why Tom was allowing Phil to drag him along on his investigation, when he really shouldn't be giving him the time of day. Also, Tom has a day job he was constantly neglecting and Phil wasn't pay him. Though to his credit, Phil did make an attempt.

Here's the deal: Phil had bullied Tom back in high school, which resulted in an accident that permanently injured Tom and altered his life in significant ways. Even if that was 13 years ago, I just don't get the "fancying the guy who bullied you" trope, and Phil kind of quasi-stalking Tom didn't help. Nor do I get Tom just going along with Phil's demands for help before anything was really resolved between them. Thankfully, things do eventually get resolved and in satisfying enough ways to make me forgive the slow, awkward, weird start.

The mystery was well done and there was no obvious villain, though I do admit I wasn't paying as much attention to the details and clues as I usually do since I was getting hung up on trying to figure out Tom. Still, there were enough red herrings and everyone had possible motives, so it wasn't easy to pick any one character out as the whodunit.

Gary and Darren were the standouts here. They're only side characters, but they steal the show every time they're on page, and they're a hoot and a half. Then there are Merlin and Arthur, Tom's cats, who are very catty and fluffy. :D And even though there were a lot of Britishisms, there was only one I couldn't figure out. The humor is very dry though, so might not be to everyone's taste.

Actually, that's a good way to sum up Tom and Phil, innit?
