Ghostly Tales: Poltergeists, Haunted Houses, and Messages from Beyond - Billy Roberts

Meh...I'm saying meh because Honesty when i brought this book i was over the moon when it came. But as soon as i starting reading i just wasn't impressed at all. There's noway some of these tales are True. I'm not in the line of paranormal work. But i really think this Billy Roberts is taking people for a ride. It's a shame because people have paid good money for his book i personally think He's one of "Those medium's" who give others the real one's a bad name. In this book he seems like he pissed off the team of Most haunted.

Then made a big scene in a new York Hotel to get an other Room. He just screams total issues to me. I know most real mediums have issue's So do sensitives too. But i dunno as i read the book i just got this vibe the author's not the real deal. He probably believes he is, but Yea... Don't buy this book cause you'll just be helping him and his wife live a deluded life...

The two stars are for the ghost's in this book that might be real and got sadly pulled into this book lol!

Paranormal Intruder - Caroline Mitchell

An innocent family finds itself completely helpless against the sudden onset of paranormal activity in their quiet rural home. A knife embedded in a kitchen cupboard, crockery smashed by invisible hands, and blood-chilling growls emit from thin air. Caroline and her husband Neil search for answers as they try to protect their family from the unseen entity that seems determined to rip them apart. The biggest question looms over them like a dark cloud ... who is going to help us? There are emergency services for many things, but not of this nature. It might be easier to believe temporary insanity, if not for the vast amount of witnesses. Police, fire services, mediums, priests and investigators all become embroiled in the mystery. The family struggles to cope, and Caroline grows concerned for her husband’s failing health as he withdraws from the world. However, the entity has only just begun. Paranormal Intruder is the true story of one family’s brave fight against an invisible entity. Described as one of the best-documented cases of paranormal activity, this page turning book will stay with you long after you have finished reading it.

I have a bit of love for anything that’s classed as real life paranormal. I have a shelf on Goodreads. That I put all these kind of books under. So when I came across this book I knew I had to get it. It has the same sort of Characteristics as the “South Shields Poltergeist” the entity Ringing the couples phone leaving horrid messages, throwing things around, after reading it. I felt That the family treated it as some sort of joke to be honest. And I feel the focus wasn't so much on Neil but on lee. Wasn't as scary as the south shields case but almost.

This House Is Haunted - Guy Lyon Playfair

This is the Amazing Story of the Enfield Poltergeist On August 31st 1977, normal life ended for Mrs Harper and her four children in their modest council house in a hitherto quiet corner of the north London suburb of Enfield. Compared to what was to come, the initial phenomena were relatively minor - knockings on the walls, and pieces of furniture moving in ways that did not seem normal. The neighbours came in and searched the house, finding all in order, though they too heard the knocking. The police were called, and were able to witness a chair sliding along the floor. The disturbances went on, getting more intense and more frightening. They were eventually witnessed by at least thirty people. They included examples of everything a poltergeist can do - overturning chairs and tables, flinging things about, whipping off bedclothes, levitating one of the girls in full view of passers-by, making her speak with the voice of an old man and defying the laws of physics by passing matter through solid matter. Much of this bewildering and often terrifying activity was captured on tape and film by Maurice Grosse of the Society for Psychical Research and his colleague Guy Lyon Playfair, who were on the case within days of its outbreak stayed on it until it finally came to an end, with a twist as unexpected and surprising as in any detective story. No other case of its kind has been so well witnessed from start to finish or so thoroughly documented. Incidents are described as they happened, without embellishment, from some six hundred pages of transcripts of live tape recordings. The story of the Enfield poltergeist is already regarded as a classic in the annals of psychical research. It has been the subject of worldwide press coverage and several radio and television documentaries.

This is the shocking case of the Enfield Poltergeist, one of England most famous cases of “Real life paranormal activity.

Written by Guy Lyon Playflair who was there throughout most of the time the investigation went on. He gives a hand to hand book of the case as it happened, Honesty the reason why I gave this book 2 stars is because. I just feel... that “Janet” Was a very very messed up girl at the time who just needed help. I don't at all think she faked the whole case, but a lot of it I think she did to gain attention She was lacking from her father and busy mother, All in all I read this and found it very disturbing, but not on a frighting scale. But on a very Sad pitiful scale, If this case had come to light today and not back then I think she would have been seen as a fake and seen as pushing her sister on as well.
