Fallacious Reasoning: "The God Delusion" By Richard Dawkins
The God Delusion - Richard Dawkins

“Science can chip away at agnosticism, in a way that Huxley bent over backwards to deny for the special of God. I am arguing that, notwithstanding the polite abstinence of Huxley, Gould and many others, the God question is not in principle and forever outside the remit of science. As with the nature of the stars, contra Comte, and as with the likelihood of life in orbit around them, science can make at least probabilistic inroads into the territory of agnosticism.”

In “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins

Uhm...How can you do that Dawkins, when your knowledge of Statistics is so frigging fuzzy (I’m using a polite word here)?

The God Delusion
The God Delusion - Richard Dawkins ✪✪✪✪✪ 5 stars

This was an intense and very thought provoking read. It's anything but light and Dawkins certainly likes to pack a punch.
I imagine with this one that Dawkins is perhaps already preaching to the converted though as I think they are the only ones that would consider picking this one up.
I was not raised in a religious family but I did attend a Church of England school, looking back on it now after reading this book I can see the brainwashing in full force.
Dawkins makes numerous fantastic arguments against the existence of God and why religion is ultimately 'evil' and at times truly 'laughable'.
If you are sitting on the fence and not sure which way to go when it comes to your faith then definitely read this book.

Richard Dawkins explaining natural selection
Climbing Mount Improbable - Richard Dawkins

The most amazing thing about "Climbing Mount Improbable" is that it is an easy read.

Richard Dawkins had the talent in explaining things that he knew so well, in a storytelling way.

Chapter one Facing Mount Rushmore

How we could usually tell what is made by nature and what is not. But sometimes, it is not the case as the natural progressions is so good that it almost looks like man-made.

Chapter Two Silken Fetters

Using spider and spider-web designs in explaining how nature made very complicated things and it is how natural selection works.

This is a 300 pages book and the first two chapters read like a breeze.

Chapter 3 & 4 The Message from the Mountain and Getting off the Ground

The important trend of evolution is that it always progress forward. Even if there is clear advantage for going backward on the evolution design to gain more ground in the future, the body would not act this way. it would also improve the current stage and never go back on the design path even logically it would benefit it in the near future.

Chapter 5 the forty-fold ath to enlightement

the evolution of the eye and how different animals evolve different types of eyes.

Jasno i rzeczowo

Liczne porównania wypadły świetnie i pomogły wszystko zrozumieć.
