Rocky Mountain Haven by Vivian Arend
Rocky Mountain Haven (Six Pack Ranch) - Vivian Arend

REVIEW

Rocky Mountain Haven

Author:  Vivian Arend

Series:  Six Pack Ranch

Genre:  Romance

Published:  January 10, 2012

This is the second book in the series and I enjoyed it a lot.  It is a bit sexier than what I am comfortable with lol, but it was great. Beth and Daniel are good together and Daniel is, in my opinion, the perfect man - sizzling hot, caring, kind, and compassionate. He is Perfection.

I preferred this book to Rocky Mountain Heat, but it was great reading about, and catching up with the characters from Heat in this book.

A good read, I look forward to reading the next one.

Rocky Mountain Haven (Six Pack Ranch, #2... Rocky Mountain Haven (Six Pack Ranch, #2) - Vivian Arend This one just tips to the 4 star read for me. I loved it, don't get me wrong. It was hot, oh very hot and sweet. I always have such reservations with the love stories with the kids involved. It's me and not the book so I am giving it the rating it deserves. Off to book 3!!!

Rocky Mountain Haven
Rocky Mountain Haven - Vivian Arend Second book in this series and now we have Daniel Coleman story to follow and I loved how he dialed with her fears and helped her handle the new life and still raise her kids.

Daniel is not so happy with the farmers life as his brothers and uses more his time with the Colemans other business, build furniture and sell custom made pieces.

He’s trying to change and find a way to be happy fulfilling his dreams, but is also a bit afraid of this new project and how to handle everything by himself.

I liked Beth and how strong she is, but also after everything her husband has put her through is amazing the way she handles the kids and a move, plus a new job. Her family tried to help but she wanted to make it on her own.

I actually liked these two together and despise the fact Daniel is more calm than his brothers, we can still see how hot and unpredictable he is on the bedroom.

Rocky Mountain Haven (Six Pack Ranch, #2) - Vivian Arend Ok. I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the first book in this series. But this book was really-sweet. Beth and Daniel both had some issues to deal with. Beth moreso but I liked that Daniel handled her and her boys with care. There wasn't any game playing, no running away. There was healthy communication- healthy and passionate sex too. Steam factor was waayyy high. Very pleasantly surprised by this one.

Rocky Mountain Haven (Six Pack Ranch, #2) - Vivian Arend Another great story. Boy, these Coleman men seem to have been raised right. I thought Daniel's side story was sad from the first one... he caught mumps, and he became sterile as a result. Once his long-time girlfriend found out, she left him. Biotch!

So in this story, we start off with Daniel meeting Beth in a bar during an odd trip away from the ranch. They had definite chemistry, but Beth was gun shy about men in general after her horrible, abusive, controlling marriage. Her husband had died, but he'd left lots of psychological shrapnel in his wake for Beth as well as her three young sons. So she gives Daniel a fake name and number and rips up his number to avoid temptation.

Beth is rebuilding her life and moves to where the Coleman's live... actually is living ON the Coleman ranch! And for whatever reason, for the first bit she's living there, she doesn't come across Daniel. But once she does, Daniel isn't willing to let her go so easily this time. He somehow senses she needs to be handled with kid gloves, which he does and then some. He was extremely patient. At first, Beth tries to resist any relationship or connection to Daniel, but it's just there, and it grows, until suddenly Beth just can't ignore it anymore.

Another really sweet story about a good man and a good woman finding what they need in each other. And the phone sex was hot! :-)
