Christmas In July – Trimmed With Murder by Sally Goldenbaum @sallygoldenbaum
Trimmed with Murder: A Seaside Knitters Mystery - Sally Goldenbaum

Welcome to Christmas in July.

Today I will be sharing Trimmed With Murder, Seaside Knitters Mystery #10, by Sally Goldenbaum.

Trimmed With Murder (Seaside Knitters Mystery, #10)

Amazon  /  Goodreads

MY REVIEW

Seaside Harbor is home of the fighting Cool Cods.

Just knowing that makes makes me think Trimmed With Murder will be a fun cozy mystery to curl up with on a cold winter’s night…or on the sunny beach and celebrate Christmas in July.

It all starts when Charlie picks Izzy up on the side of the road. Neither one of them wanted to be here, because we all know, in a small town there are no secrets.

Most of the characters are warm and giving…once you get to know them, but there are some with secrets to hide and will cross the line to keep them buried.

I feel bad for Charlie and wonder about the missing years in his life. Where has he been and why is he so different from the person they knew before?

And the murderer…

I know who I feel it could be, but there is also a deeper mystery to be solved…

The Knitting Club knows everyone and everything happening in town, so they figure they should be the ones to find the answers and put the town’s fears to rest, so they began to “walk the road.”  I love when a group of small town ladies get it in their heads to investigate a murder.  Some times it can be fun, other times…

I love stories located by the seaside. They lend an extra element to the story that makes me want to walk along the shore with this “tight knit” group of friends who care about their town and the people in it.

Trimmed With Murder by Sally Goldenbaum shows us that you can go home again.

Sally Goldenbaum has also included knitting instructions for a sailboat ornament and a recipe for pork tenderloin in Trimmed With Murder

Murder at Lambswool Farm (Seaside Knitte... Murder at Lambswool Farm (Seaside Knitters Mystery) - Sally Goldenbaum

Murder at Lambswool Farm
Back at Sea Harbor and they need to save the local farm.
Their town actually has a doctor who makes house visits. Dr. Allan has taken on a docter who buys half the business and he has no more heirs to continue on the family practice.
Glen comes to town and has a medical background but also wants to write a story about the town, especially the history surrounding the medical practice. He delivers two sheep one night and the doctor has been murdered.
Arsenic poisoning. Women of the knitting group try to solve who did it-they know Glen's car was fixed within a day but he stayed on many days after. Maybe it was the partner in the business, maybe the handicapped man Dr. Allan had fired...there is also no will....
Love talks of gardening, farm and sea shore.  Shrimp recipe and felted bowl knit pattern included from farm dinner table.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Trimmed with Murder: A Seaside Knitters Mystery - Sally Goldenbaum

Seaside Knitters. Books 10-11  by Goldenbaum_ Sally
Have read the other books by this author and have enjoyed not only the knitting part but mysteries surrounding how they solve a death in their seaside community.
Like knitting tips along the way.  Like they have a family tree of characters at the very beginning.
.
Trimmed with Murder
Christmas and Charlie has volunteered to help at the free clinic. He stopped to pick up Amber who has a relative in town. Neither has been back since they were young...
Story follows them and many others in the small community. Things with being small everybody knows everybody's business.
Love the pattern for the tree and also food recipe.

A Finely Knit Murder: A Seaside Knitters Mystery - Sally Goldenbaum

A finely knit murder, a Seaside Knitters mystery  by Sally Goldenbaum
Have read all the other books in this series and have enjoyed them. A mix of knitting and a mystery to solve.
Starts out in a town along the coast in MA. An artists' town, a teacher is being let go because he forgets to teach class and spends his time painting at home.
Birdie's granddaughter is there for a visit and she's enrolled in the all girls school where they learn how to knit and sit outside and knit hats for charity.
The ladies at the yarn shop set up a group of people who will watch out for Gabby while she's at school as there has been a murder. Love how this one starts out with the cast of characters-sometimes things get confusing.
It's up to the ladies and friends of the yarn shop to ask questions and do the time frame of where everybody was at the time of the murder.
Love knit pattern at the end of this book along with a recipe.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Murder in Merino: A Seaside Knitters Mystery - Sally Goldenbaum

Murder in merino, a Seaside Knitters mystery by Sally Goldenbaum
Have read the others in this series and have enjoyed them. Sea Harbor, MA and it's autumn.
Julia Aimsley has come to town, a writer and she meets Ben, who hosts the weekly Friday feast with townsfolk along with his wife Cass.
Others in town are trying to plan their 40th wedding anniversary party but they just want quick drink and appetizer one night.
Lots of things going on with the others in town.  One gets murdered and those at the yarn store start questioning others and bringing clues to those investigating to try to figure out who killed the man.
Love how this one takes us back 20 years and there are some around that can answer those hard questions.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
