SOS (speed) Book Shelf BINGO Round 8 ... Ongoing Progress

Status Dec. 8:  I'm caught up on all my reads except for the two new shelves just called ("supernatural" shelf for which I'm reading Bewitching and "reader's choice" for which I'm reading the finally actually published Here Comes the Vampire).   Rachel's posted stats shiwn below are accurate for single shelves called (assumes teams catch up on reading, reviewing and stamp requesting for called shelves):

A few more pairs of shelves lead to additional BINGO possibilities (all will be races and past experience with BiNGO rounds says that as soon as a winning shelf is called teams "mysteriously" manage to finish up all their previous shelves pretty instantaneously.)  For example, if "werewolves" and "urban fantasy" were called then our team has a shot at BINGO but would have to finish 10 books before teams 2,4,5,8 finished 5 books.

BINGO cards and older statuses follow.

Review of "Red-Headed Step-Child (Sabina Kane #1)" by Jaye Wells
Red-Headed Stepchild (Sabina Kane, #1) - Jaye Wells

This reader's personal opinion, ©2013, all rights reserved.*

This one was seriously schizophrenic; could not make up its mind if humorous chicklit, blood and gore vampire thriller, cult squickiness, urban fantasy, rape culture (no one actually raped), mystery, gang violence or damsel in distress (about the only genre not really attempted, just hinted at, was romance or possibly even BDSM erotica). An intriguing world-building with an underlying plot-line of Lilith mythology and mysterious connection to heroine that in the end

was in no way revealed, resolved or went anywhere other than a few breadcrumbs presumably picked up by next books in series.

(spoiler show)
