I’m glad I found this author a little over a year ago. I’ve loved everything she’s put out and this book is no exception. Sophia is strong and determined and willing to step away from everything to continue to do the right thing. Viktor is the perfect person to match her determination. I read through the story as quickly as possible and now I’m disappointed because I have to wait for her next book! I absolutely loved it and I highly recommend.

Mercenary Princess is a fascinating world that mixes the well to do world with the mercenary, take action world and gives reader a whole new view of socialites and what they can accomplish.

The characters of this series are strong, vibrant and easily capture readers’ attention while keeping them on the edge of their seat with an intriguing world that full of suspense, conspiracy, subterfuge and steamy encounters. The plot flows smoothly in a steady pace that ensures that readers are unable to put the book down until they have read every last detail and since there are surprising twists and witty dialogue, the readers are well entertained. The author created this fascinating world with well written words that it makes it easy for the reader to become lost in this world and they can practically feel the energetic undercurrent to each of the scenes, so it is very easy to imagine that the story is really taking place.

The electrical attraction between Sophia and Viktor is felt throughout the story while the erotic and blazing hot sex scenes set passions burning throughout the story. The relationship has its share of ups and downs and obstacles that the characters will have to overcome so it entertains readers as well as keeping them in suspense and I must say that the dynamic between these characters is quite fascinating to read as their romance progresses.

The suspense and dangers in this story is more on the subtle side than in your face action but it is just as dangerous secrets and hidden agendas are revealed. The drama involving Sophia’s family adds tension to Sophia’s complicated life and eliciting outrage in characters and readers alike. Overall, the story is more and better than I was expecting and I can’t wait to read the next book in this fascinating new series.

Last year I discovered this new gem in the romance/sci fi & fantasy section of Netgalley and holy moly am I in love with this series.

Ecstasy Claimed continues telling the story of how the Guardians are struggling to keep the people under their protection safe from Cyril's madness and Elizabeth's cruelty, while pushing them further towards their destined mates.

Alyssa is a fantastic heroine and I am super in love with her. I like that she didn't wait for Gregoire to find the courage to go get her, and instead went to become her own person when she found out about him. I also loved how she did that, the choices she made, even though it infuriated her mate (good for her!).

I understood why Gregoire decided to stay away from his mate, I really did. I also admired his self-control. He could have taken advantage of the situation, but he proved to be worthy of being a Guardian of the realms by not abusing the gift given to him. Although yes, I'll admit it, I did enjoy seeing him suffer a little bit because of his mate, because he did kind of deserve it. He could have at least let her know he existed, right?

The thing that I love most about this series is that it's not just about Gregoire and Alyssa, you also have Sam and Erik going forward with their relationship and starting to heal from what Cyril put them through. We also get to know more about Cyril and to understand how truly evil he is, making it pretty obvious that if he is as evil and deranged as he is, I can only imagine how his father, Apollo was.

I am very excited to read the rest of the series, which I'm currently bingeing on, and I'm even more excited about the upcoming spin-off. If you're a fan of paranormal fantasy, you definitely have to read this series, now!

Lucy and Eiryke “Rykr” grew up together, both being descendants of Guardians and Gods. They had always been close but it wasn’t until Lucy was turning twenty that they realized they were soul mates. Being several years older that Rykr, Lucy breaks his heart and demands he stay away from her for 10 years to enjoy his youth. She had no idea the torment he would go through due to a curse he was given until she can no longer stay away from him.

This is the spin-off series of Setta Jay’s Guardians series that I devoured as they were released. I was really excited to learn that we’d be able to get more of this world she has created, a loose spin on Greek mythology. I loved getting to know Lucy and Rykr as they battle a new threat.  It was a quick read but there was plenty of hawtness, a full character feel and a complete story. I also liked the brief appearances by some of my favorite characters from her previous books. I highly recommend.
