A Bad Case of You (Soulmates of St. Vincent #1) by Taylor Holloway
A Bad Case of You (Soulmates of St. Vincent #1) - Taylor Holloway

Taylor Holloway helped turn something I HATE into something I LOVE. Never have I ever enjoyed reading medical romance. Can't even watch a medical drama on TV. Oversexed, dramatization is not entertaining. It's just sad. With A Bad Case of You, Holloway delivers what most medical stories are missing. She packs it with heart. Her characters tempt with witty dialogue and heartbreaking emotion that remind us there's a human element beyond the science. Far from perfect, but these characters hit you where it counts. THE HEART.

REVIEW BY MERISSA - Seer (Soulmates #2) by Erin M. Leaf
Seer (Soulmates #2) - Erin M. Leaf

Seer is the second book in the Soulmates series, and oh my goodness, this was a good read. We start off with Jeff, mourning his parents and not believing the murder-suicide the police have told him. Then Nick shows up at his door, and confirms without proof that it was murder. This starts a whole chain of events that has Jeff being shot at, potentially blown up, tortured, and held hostage. Oh, and Nick and Jeff find out that not only is Jeff not human, but he is Nick's soulmate too.

Can I just say here how much I am loving this series?! Jeff has had girlfriends in the past, but was never convinced he was 'just' straight. Nick has always been gay, but what these two feel for each other is off the charts. I loved how not only were they soulmates, but they made each other stronger.

This is a fast-paced, full of action both in and out of the sheets, story, with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow. It was a delight to enter this world again, and I adored how Guy and Theo had their cameos. This is not a world I am ready to leave, it is that well-built. The characters are amazing, and I really can't wait to see where Erin M. Leaf goes next. Absolutely recommended.

Soulmate (Soulmates #1) by Erin M. Leaf
Soulmate (Soulmates #1) - Erin M. Leaf

Soulmate is the first book in the Soulmates series, and already I find myself reading about a world that I love!

Guy is still grieving for his wife. She may have died of cancer three years ago, but the emptiness he feels inside hasn't diminished with time. Theo is in his thirties, a Council member, and openly gay. He is also one of the few Empaths around. When these two meet, sparks fly, and I was desperately hoping Guy would realise what he had before it was too late.

There is so much to enjoy in this book - political machinations, assassination attempts, trees being re-shaped, soul-rings, I could go on. This is a gorgeous gay-for-you (sort of) story that absolutely fulfils my sappy romantic side. There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading, and the scenes flowed nicely from one to the next.

This is only the first book, and I can't wait for more. Absolutely recommended by me!

Somethin’ Like Soulmates by Chuchiwan
Somethin’ Like Soulmates - Chuchiwan Somethin’ Like Soulmates - Chuchiwan
3.5 stars. Sam Campbell is an omega masquerading as a beta to further his law career. Then he meets alpha Dean Winchester working in a bar. This is a first spn fanfic by Chuchiwan, the plot holds up pretty well but the author needs a beta to field the typos.

Good Characters and story
Soulmates (Drag.Me.To.Hell, #2) - Nadine... Soulmates (Drag.Me.To.Hell, #2) - Nadine Nightingale

Amanda was a witch and Alec was a witch hunter they were born and raised to hate each other as technically Amanda and Alec were enemies. Alec and Amanda want nothing to do with each other. Amanda is living in NY going to school at NYU and had a waitressing job - trying to live like a normal person with a magic free life and that wasn’t easy. She keeps having nightmares of Alec being hurt and dying. Amanda had promised to not try to contact Alec but something is going on. The nightmares are really wearing on Amanda. Amanda is also still dealing with the feeling of betrayal she feels from Alec.   She also feels like she is constantly being watched. Then weird things start to happen and Amanda starts to question what is going on and maybe she is in danger. Then one morning Jesse- Alec’s brother- shows up on her doorstep with a barely conscious Alec who looks like he has been attacked. Jesse begs Amanda for her help. Alec and Amanda had wanted nothing to do with each other and Alec had basically been a butt to Amanda but she can't turn her back on him and not try to help him. Alec had sold his soul and only had a few days until his time to live was up. So Amanda gets help from her best friend Bonnie who uses Cajun voodoo and starts out to try to help Alec. Bonnie and Chelsea were Amanda’s roommates.

I really enjoyed this book until the end and then found a big cliffhanger and i hate cliffhangers. And that brought down my rating quiet a bot. I did like the way Amanda and Alec interacted with each other when he wasn’t being a butt. But then again Amanda isn’t always the nicest person and even calls herself a bitch. I loved the twists and turns in this book. I also really wanted Amanda and Alec to work things out and be happy together. This was fast paced and I really liked the plot. This had: witches, witch hunter, demons. A demon strip club. Selling a soul. Love, action, suspense, emotional turmoil, a little voodoo, mystery, and so much more. You should read the first book before this one to have all the background and things read smoother at least I think so. I liked that the author showed some of Amanda’s past to show us why she acts like she does. Alec could be very confusing and frustrating. Even though I had really liked this book the cliffhanger really disappointed me. I do wish i could have rated this a 3.5 though
