Fun Read!
Wasted Words - Staci Hart

Wasted Words by Staci Hart is a fabulous read.  Ms Hart has delivered a well-written book.  I found myself laughing out loud and grinning more than once as I read this book.  The characters in this book are fun and lovable.  Cam works in a bar/bookstore, Tyler is a sports agent.  Their story is full of drama, humor and sizzle.  Did I mention humor?  Wasted Words had me hooked from page one and glued to my kindle to the end.  I believe Wasted Words is my favorite book by a new (to me) author for the week.  It's fabulous!  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read a free copy of this book that I received from BookFunnel.

Tonic
Tonic - Staci Hart Tonic - Staci Hart Are we sure the name of this book isn't actually "Toxic"...? I think that would be way more appropriate. Why do female authors keep writing such awful women as their romantic leads? The fact that her behavior is atrocious means I don't care at all about Annika. Oh, she helps her parents, does she? I guess that totally balances out the rest of her - manipulative, judgemental, cruel, careless, stubborn, contradictory. But she's soooo pretty and has nice hair, so it's okay!

No. No, it's not.

I don't know much about Joel and I'm not real fond of his inability to back the fuck off, but I definitely don't care about or want to read about him trying to break down Annika's walls.

Trying to read this was a god damn nightmare.

My #LastCall Tweets live Tweets

Last Call is a must read.  I adored Tricky and Rose.  Well, I've always love them, but it was great seeing their story.  There are bad dates, awkward moments, steamy scenes, and emotions.  I also love this group of friends.  They are there for each other no matter what.  And I think that is what drives this book home more than anything else.  Friendship is definitely a great thing to have in your corner.

A great book, and I can't wait to see what else Hart brings us!

Chaser (Bad Habits Book 2)
Chaser (Bad Habits Book 2) - Staci Hart This review was originally posted on Bookish Things & More

Review

I absolutely love this series.  I adored Lily & West's story, and felt the same way about Maggie & Cooper.

I love the whole premise of this story. How likely is that you can have a sexual relationship with someone without it having some kind of emotions involved. When we first meet Cooper in With a Twist, we pretty much write him off as a pretty boy manwhore.  But he is so much more, and I think this book captures that softer side to him.  He's never been one to think about others, and that's all he does in this book. I loved everything about him.  I had my ups and downs with Maggie. She thinks setting rules to her arrangement with Cooper will keep her in check.  But we all know how hard that is likely to be.

I think both characters grew a lot throughout Chaser. Maggie learns about herself, and how to get past some things while trying to keep from being scared. I don't necessarily like how she dealt with some things.  But it helped her come to a point where she knew herself.  And I could go on about Cooper for days. He's just an overall gentleman, and doesn't do more than what is asked even if he wants to.

There are quite a few funny moments between these two. Their banter and humor with each other was adorable, and had me grinning most of the time.

If you liked With a Twist, you should definitely check out this sequel.  I can't wait for the 3rd book, and I know it's going to be forever! Huge fan of Staci Hart.  She never disappoints.

With a Twist
With a Twist - Staci Hart This review was originally posted on Bookish Things & More

Review

With a Twist is funny, sweet, and swoony.

I absolutely adored Lily and West.  They are best friends, and I love the easy relationship they have.  All that changes when Lily becomes interested in her dance partner.  Well I wouldn't say becomes, she's always had a massive crush on Blaine.  Even though he's kind of douchey.  Lily is committed to dancing.  She rarely takes time out for herself and is at times pretty naive when it comes to relationships.  West is working on his graduates degree hoping to get into the doctoral program.  He hasn't been in a relationship in years.  He's such a great guy.  He's smart, attractive, polite, and rocks a man bun.  *SWOOONS*

I like how they don't understand their reaction to each other after being friends for years.  It's kind of like a light bulb moment, and it's hilarious.  I also love their group of friends.  They are tight knit, and will do anything for each other.  I think besides the romance friendship is a huge part of this book.  They aren't afraid to go to each other for help.  I also have questions regarding Maggie and a certain someone.  I'm hoping they will get their story soon.

Hart never fails to bring on the romance, and doesn't shy away from women talking about sex.  Because that's realistic, and something everyday folks do.  Her characters are relateable, and you feel like you are a part of the story.  She did an amazing job with this book, and I can't wait to read more.
