Lick - Kylie Scott

Evelyn had plans for Vegas.  She was going to find a hot guy and lose her virginity all over again.  That is not exactly what went down.

David has been through a lot.  As a famous rockstar, he gets what he wants.  Only this time, what he wants may walk away.

This is a great story about true love and how is can happen quickly.  I loved the characters and their interaction.  Even the other characters in Stage Dive series are funny and worth reading.  I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Review:

Having read and enjoyed Lick, the first book in this series about rock band Stage Dive, I was really looking forward to getting stuck into this rock star romance, and it doesn't disappoint. With the obligatory will they-won't they romance and plenty of steamy action, Deep is sure to please fans of this genre.

The lead characters are interesting and they're backed up by a plethora of supporting roles, resulting in a riotous romp around the globe!

I received a review copy of Deep from the publisher, via NetGalley, in return for an honest review.

Deep by Kylie Scott
Deep (Stage Dive Series Book 4) - Kylie Scott

The final book of the stage dive series was perfection. I LOVED Ben and Liz. They were not perfect by any means, but they were perfect together. Ben really didn't want to commit, even though he really liked Liz. He was afraid of what having Liz and a baby would do to his rocker life. I have to say that even though I really loved this book, Ben was probably my least favorite part of it. For me, Liz stole the show. I loved catching up with all of the other Stage Dive members and their ladies. I think Mal & Anne are still my favorite. Definitely a good way to end this series though!

Deep (Stage Dive Series Book 4) by Kylie Scott Review
Deep (Stage Dive Series Book 4) - Kylie Scott

Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins' ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben's the only man she's ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn't looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.

Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She's his best friend's little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he's not going to go there. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible...but will it lead to a connection of the heart?

Review

Sigh. For me, this book was a slog. I can't even believe I finished it. I did because I enjoyed the rest of the series and like this writer.

However, this book really rubbed me the wrong way.

It doesn't really have a Romance per se. A lot of angst, yes. Sex, yes. There is no real falling love. I dislike both the leads. They each aren't really developed as people-the just have traits. He-beard, music-manho. She- preggers, young, nausous, gives up self. I wouldn't fall in love with them either. I wouldn't friend either of them even in a Facbook way. Not that those things make me dislike a book but they did in this case because there isn't character growth just stated changes. These were people who needed to grow a lot.

I can't help but feel they are going to be awful parents despite the cool name the kid gets at the end. Not a good feeling to end a Romance on.

The most interesting characters in the book are Mal and the heroine's sister from the previous book and Vaughn the redheaded gentleman that pops in and out of the book with and without his pants. Those scence were the best in the book.

I will read another book but this writer but with caution.

I was given this book for my honest review. So, there you have it.
