Grown up
Head Over Heels for the Boss (Donovan Brothers) - Susan Meier

This is book # 3 in The Donovan Brother series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading in order.

Isabelle has known Devon most of her life.  She has had a crush on him for at least a decade.  Can she work for the man who turned her down?

Devon wants to hire someone who has knowledge, and Izzy has an MBA.  He wants her to use it to help his family's fortune grow properly.  He has also noticed her as a woman.  She is all grown up!

Very sweet and yet hot story.  The sparks sizzle and fly off the page.  The humor is good too.  I like that the characters like to laugh together.  Was a good read.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Head Over Heels for the Boss
Head Over Heels for the Boss - Susan Mei... Head Over Heels for the Boss - Susan Meier Susan Meier has a way of making you laugh, cry and have an all out good time. I received an ARC of Head over Heels for the Boss in exchange for an honest review. Clueless and fine with it, Devon gets the shock of his life when he encounters little "Izzy" Cooper again. Little "Izzy" is now grown up "Belle" whose still in love with hardheaded Devon. Can she get him to notice? The characters were funny and easy to empathize with the story flowed smoothly and the Donovan Brothers series is irresistible. Having read Her Summer with the Marine and now Head over Heels for the Boss, MUST read Chasing the Runaway Bride.

Her Summer with the Marine: A Donovan Brothers Novel - Susan Meier

In Her Summer with the Marine by Susan Meier, Ellie McDermott has just returned home to Harmony Hills to help her ill father. Ellie believed that everything was okay with her father, until she received a call to come home ASAP because he was found sitting naked in the park thinking he was at home watching television. Now she has to face some hard truths and decisions, beginning with the fact that her father has been suffering from Alzheimer’s for more than a year and she never knew. And the having to find a way to pay for an assisted living facility and the medical care her father needs.

Finn Donovan has worked hard to be where he is now, no thanks to his abusive father. He worked hard in the Marines to get his career and to make his own living, and now he has been back home opening a funeral home.Unfortunately the funeral home is in direct competition to McDermott’s funeral home, the only funeral home in Harmony Hills before he arrived. Read More...

Her Summer with the Marine by Susan Meirs Review
Her Summer with the Marine: A Donovan Brothers Novel (Entangled Bliss) - Susan Meier

Their competition has never been so irresistible

The last person Ellie McDermott wanted to run into after returning to her hometown is Finn Donovan, her high school nemesis and the guy she crossed the line from enemies to lovers with one night years ago. Now ex-military, tattooed, and still sexy as hell, Finn is a complication Ellie doesn’t need—she needs to concentrate on saving her family business.

Finn’s entire life, Ellie was there, going head-to-head with him in every class, bee, and test.

So it’s no surprise she’d show up just as he was about to take over her father's struggling business. It is a surprise, though, that his attraction to her is even more explosive than it had been. Acting on their attraction is one thing, but Finn has to turn a profit to save his own family, and nothing—not even love—will get in his way.

Review

It took me a long time to like either of the leads in this romance. A long time. They were both hard headed an ungenerous toward each other. They had been this way their whole lives. They are both very competitive and they never talk about what needs to be talk about.

What saved this book is the characters did grow and the conflict the rivalry between two funeral parlor in a small town was both morbid and engaging.

I was given this book for my honest review. So, there you have it.
