Awesome!
SEAL's DESIRE (Take No Prisoners Series) - Elle James

SEAL's Desire by Elle James is an amazing romantic suspense book.  Ms. James, as always, has delivered a book that is well-written.   This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time.  The characters are phenomenal.  Navy SEAL Remy LaDue has been crazy about his best friend's girl.  Mitchell Sanders is a NCIS agent and was engaged to Remy's friend until he was killed during a mission.  A year later Remy walks in on Mitchell at a strip club while she's undercover.  Remy and Mitchell's story is full of drama, humor, action, spice and suspense.  I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to reading more from Elle James in the future.  SEAL's Desire is book 2 of the Take No Prisoners Series but can be read as a standalone.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

The Puritan Pirate (Pirates of Port Royal #1) by Jules Radcliffe
The Puritan Pirate - Jules Radcliffe

3.5 stars I think is a fairer rating.

Everything goes oh too well for our characters. Even the most evil event leaves (physically) only bruises and sore muscles. Not that I am complaining, mind you.

Another minus for me is the unfinished business. Killjoy, Chacal, Spanish in general - those are still loose ends. I almost wish there was less talk and love making.... oh, who am I kidding!

Kidnapped by the Pirate by Keira Andrews
Kidnapped by the Pirate: Gay Romance - Keira Andrews

3.5 stars. It's not the book, it's me.
Two MCs are thrown together for a month or so, sharing a cabin. I get claustrophobic :(

Above All Else by Dayton Idoni
Above All Else - Dayton Idoni

I have to say, over-explaining often got in the way, which is especially annoying in a short book.
I was thinking of rounding the 3.5 stars down, but the originality (and the cover) won me over.

A geopolitical view of the world
Prisoners of Geography: Ten Maps That Explain Everything About the World - Tim Marshall,Scott Brick

All throughout this book I kept asking what he now had to say about this and that because it is three years since he wrote the book and Korea has a nuclear weapons capabilities now and the US has a new president and a number of other significant changes. Fascinating book. It will give you a whole new understanding of the world we live in.
